Simple easy-to -play adventure,
By Tsang Lok Ming (Hong Kong) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Dymrak Dread (Dda4, Dungeons and Dragons Module) (Paperback)
It could be counted as the first adventure module (excluded 3D Tiles modules in 1980s) which apply new "easy to play" format with map sheet & stand-up figure. This format was later adopted by D&D modules setting in Thunder Rift. On the other hand, the module is the last published D&D adventure module setting in Mystara. It is quite easy for novice DMs to handle. Though the story is simple, it is good written. It is best to run as a sequel to DDA3. If run as stand alone adventure, it should not be the first adventure since monsters here may be too strong for a party which all members are Level One! |
