Product Description

Size: 16 oz

Tart Cherries have pleased the palates of food lovers for centuries. Now there are new reasons to love tart cherries. As a recent Newsweek article said "The day when doctors say - 'Take 10 cherries and call me in the morning' - may not be far off." According to ongoing research, tart cherries are a rich source of antioxidants that can help maintain heart health, joint health and blood circulation. The secret is in the pigments that give tart cherries their rich red / black hue. They belong to a class of natural dyes called anthocyanins. These compounds are being called "Mother Nature's all-natural chemotherapy agents." In addition to the antioxidants, tart cherries are rich in two important flavonoids - isoqueritrin and queritrin. According to leading researchers, queritrin is one of the most potent agents ever discovered. Consuming it in foods, such as tart cherries, is like unleashing inside your body an entire army of agents that are adept at neutralizing harmful oxidants in the body.

I bought two bottles of this from a local health food store and it was very different from my Amazon purchase. The health food store bottle was a thick concentrate and one tablespoon in my morning tea and the same dosage in the evening helped my arthritis considerably. The health food store price was $14.95 so I decided to find it cheaper on-line. I purchased 4 bottles from Amazon and it is not the same quality. It is a thin, watery solution more like plain juice rather than concentrate although the label on the bottles are exactly the same. After being on the Amazon product for a week, my joint pain began to return so I doubled the dosage and that seemed to help, but there's no savings. In fact, taking a double dose to get the same benefit means I am paying about $20.00 per bottle. In the future, I will purchase locally at $14.95.

I wish I had read the negative reviews before I ordered. I agree that it does not taste like the (same) kind in the glass bottle. I just assumed it was the same stuff (It's the same brand, same bottle -except plastic.), but it is definitely NOT. It didn't specify glass OR plastic when I ordered, so I was kind of surprised at plastic. I had always bought it in glass and never even saw their products come in plastic (at the health food store, or at other places I had ordered on-line)!

I mix mine when I take my daily Miracle Reds (Macro Life Naturals) and it always gave it a VERY tart tang that is definitely not the same. I tried it with just plain water, and also tasted it plain, and it just seems like it's a weak syrupy taste ... its not the same as the glass bottle kind (I got from the health food store first, then ordered it from 'iherb' or some other health food store online, but they were all in glass bottles.), but I was looking for a better deal.

So what's going on here? Why is this different when it is supposed to be the same? Are they making a cheaper, watered down version for Amazon? It makes me wonder about anything else I am ordering from them! (Bought on August 8th, 2012.) I feel like I got an inferior product, but for $10 I am not bothering to return it and guess I will just take it. But I will NOT be ordering this product from Amazon, again. And I thought people should be aware that this product is not the same that comes in glass (even though it's the same brand).

It certainly cannot contain the same health benefits when it tastes like a weak, watery, syrupy taste. Where's the tartness? Something is wrong here.

Purchased about 4 bottles for my mother. After using another brand, decided to give this a try because it is organic. This is a very, very thin product as if it was already diluted; it has no cherry taste whatsoever. I had purchased using subscribe and save which I have canceled. Did not give any relief to my mother's arthritis. Will not buy again.

I normally don't write reviews for products that I didn't order from Amazon, but I had to make an exception in this case. I bought this product from my local health food store based on other reviews and having concerns with receiving older and/or inferior quality product through Amazon sellers. What I will say is this: if you get this item in the glass bottle and it is fresh (whether you order online or buy it local) YOU CANNOT GO WRONG.
I have suffered from insomnia for more than 15 years and within the first week of taking 1oz. at night my insomnia was gone. I have no problem going to sleep anymore and I sleep the entire night through without waking up. In the morning I wake up feeling very rested. I haven't slept this good since I was teenager!

On a more impressive note I have had even more amazing results with my joint pain. I was diagnosed with a severe form of arthritis in 2009. I have taken a multitude of toxic prescriptions, tried managing it with diet, nothing really offers much relief. I have lost the ability to do many of the activities I love to do and am limited with what my body and joints can handle. I am in pain every day, all day and usually can't stand for more than one hour at a time. Over the course of 3 weeks I have increased the amount from 1oz to 1.75oz and once I reach 2oz I will maintain that amount. I have only been taking the tart cherry concentrate for barely one month and the joint pain is significantly down and in many areas gone altogether. Day by day the inflammation is just disappearing. Areas that have been in constant pain for years are now completely pain free. All the swelling and redness from the inflammation in my hands are gone. This stuff is AMAZING! It is like magic.

This stuff tastes fine. It is too early to tell if there is any difference in how it makes my wife and I feel. What really surprised me was that the bottle was out of date. I would have returned it but why the hassle? Someone had to know they were sending out something that was beyond the expiration date.

In reality,, it should not be called "concentrate". This product rides on the coat tails of other products which are true Montmorency tart cherry concentrates. This product seems to want you to think it is the same. Specific gravity is the measurement of the density of a liquid that contains sugar. Most Montmorency tart cherry concentrate measures at 68 degrees Brix. Brix is a unit of measure of specific gravity and indicates that the concentrate has been reduced to the point at which it cannot be any more concentrate without being almost semi-solid and the sugar still stay dissolved and not crystallized. We're talking serious, almost honey-like,syrup here.

Please look for the true Montmorency Tart Cherry Juice Concentrate. The true Montmorency Tart Cherry Juice Concentrate is usually from Michigan grown cherries. You will only need a teaspoon full about every three hours to be pain free of arthritis. It contains far and away more melatonin than the Dynamic Health stuff. and it will give you positive results with regard to gout with less cherry concentrate.
