I had back surgery December, 3 years ago. I recovered 3 months later and I had one perfect month. Then I got a bad cold and got a shot of rocephin in my behind. The next day my entire lower back and tendons in the sacral iliac joint were extremely painful. It didn't go away and I ended up in pain management for a few years. I have been consistently on a fentanyl 50umg with a 12umg patch plus oxycodone 15 as needed for over 2 1/2 years. I had some painful inflammation in my lower back following a shot of antibiotics (rocephin)October I saw a commercial for Nopal Juice. I also had severe tennis elbow on my right arm and a mild chronic cough. It always felt like I had something to cough up. I had serious pain for 8 months in 2012. Then in October, I bought Nopal Gold. I almost finished the first bottle. I don't like the taste, but with equal parts of orange juice it is fine to me. I wasn't expecting anything and I got to about 4 ounces left in the bottle. I went on weekend trip on 11/04/12. When I was walking around an outlet mall and I had to tie my shoe. I noticed that my elbow was 100 percent funtioning. No pain at all. I had full mobility. The inflamation was GONE!. I also noticed that day that my lungs felt completetly clear and I did not have that urge to cough at all. But the most important part is that my inflammed lower back did not hurt to tie my shoes. I thought that this was a fluke. I pushed hard on the tendons in my sacral iliac area and I could not find a tender spot. The next day I took off my 12umg patch. I quit taking the oxycodone also that day. I bought my second bottle and things are even better yet. Now I am down to a only a 25umg patch and lowering every few days. I drove by my pain management office today and stopped in.Read more ›

This cactus juice is great. My sister recommended it several months before I decided to use it. At first I thought it was some quack remedy but the pain became so great that I was willing to try anything. I looked at the reviews for this one and ordered it. I had been in a great deal of pain for months. About three days after I started drinking this juice about 6 ounces a day. That's 2 ounces three-times a day the pain started to subside. After drinking this juice for a full week the pain was much less and after three weeks the pain was gone. I tested the remedy by discontinuing this juice. After a few weeks the pain was back. Now I'm convinced. This cactus juice works great on inflammation. Doesn't taste that great but I don't care, it works! It almost eliminated my pain. If there is a better cactus juice out there I would love to hear about it because this one is great! It is not delicious. It's thick and gritty. Also it seems to be a little inconsistent. The first bottle I had one consistency the next few bottles had different consistencies but they all seem to work great. I have bought several bottles and plan to buy it until I no longer need it. Wouldn't that be nice. Buy his juice if you have inflammation and pain!!

First, I was mislead by the picture and vague description on the label. Turns out it is cactus pad juice with cactus pad pulp. I did not want pads or pulp due to high calcium oxalate content in them. I was looking for cactus fruit/berry juice. Nopal pads still work for my inflammation but i have to watch oxalate deposits in my body. However the biggest problem is that I blew up like a balloon from this particular juice - I have food allergies. Give it two stars for not indicating all the ingredients/allergens on a seemingly trustworthy USDA ORGANIC labeled product.

I was exited to try this after seeing infomercial (on Nopalea, a different brand), so I picked this up at local health food store. Tastes pretty good actually, product stays fresh long time.

But I don't really think this product does anything. I have had many years experience with supplements. I am sensitive to the changes they can bring. A high quality vitamin, for example, makes notable effect: with Vit C, I enjoy longer stretches of cold & flu immunity, Vit E relieves many skin problems and increases endurance, libido (and gives a headache if I take too much), Vit B increases energy and mental focus, well being... it's along list of supplement efficacy.

But Nopal cactus juice will join the list of supps where I simply cannot discern any changes whatsoever. It makes me wonder about those infomercial testimonies with the gal crying tears of joy like she had found an answer to a lifelong prayer or something. I guess those are just paid actors after all? Not surprising if so, of course.

In fairness, perhaps I just am not having the peculiar ailments for which the Nopal cactus would be effective? On the other hand, perhaps Nopal juice is simply not very high on the essential list. The Creator gave us _many_ herbs/plants to heal ourselves (of this, there is not doubt) - and essentially, all modern medicines were plant-based in origin -- drugs were later lab-synthesized to cut costs and production time for mass-production. Hence, the Nopal cactus may be among the plants having medicinal efficacy -- just not known to me.

However, drinking this Nopal juice is certainly better for you than drinking soda pop or eating pork, pretty sure no contest on that.

Bottom line: a quality product. Can't justify the high price on this (and all Nopal juice products). I think the price is a result of TV media hype, and people's misguided hopes for something very miraculous from this humble desert plant.
