Meaningful, Empowering, Uplifting -- A Spiritual Lighthouse!, December 1, 2011
This review is from: Dynamic Stillness Part One: The Practice of Trika Yoga (Paperback)
This book is as powerful, authentic, and moving a primer on how to be spiritual, real, and human as I have ever read. It is already a powerful influence in my life after the first reading a few days ago, and I plan to read it and reread it again and again until its many exciting, meaningful, and life-empowering lessons have become innate within me.
This book heals the rift between "spiritual" and "real" like nothing else I have ever read. The author to me is like a combination of Buddha, Jesus Christ, Lenny Bruce, and Father Flanagan, all rolled into one: as down and streetwise yet as high-minded and loving as it gets.
(I must confess I also greatly admire my teacher in Nichiren Daishonen Buddhism the Rev. Daisaku Ikeda as a living Buddha. But people are different. Swami Chetananda brings the yogic traditions as well as some incredibly steetwise and erudite western commentary and sensibilities to his profound work -- and I also highly recommend his THE BREATH OF GOD.)
I genuinely feel one cannot go wrong using this book as a spiritual rudder in these perilous times. Thank you, Swami Chetananda, may you keep on enlightening humanity for all eternity as high as we can get!

So many jewels of wisdom in this book, November 22, 2011
This review is from: Dynamic Stillness Part One: The Practice of Trika Yoga (Paperback)
This book is fantastic, and has beautiful, thought-provoking jewels in every paragraph. It's such deep material, I've read it numerous times, and always learn something new. I will hang on to this for years to come, knowing I will continually grow from the wisdom each page holds.
