GREAT instructional guide to WingTsun,
This review is from: Dynamic Wing Tsun Kung Fu (Paperback)
This is a book with a lot of useful content to it for its size and low cost. It is very well written as a complete, progressive instructional course for WingTsun fighting and if one follows everything in the book to the letter, it comprises a very effective course of practice. It contains much of the material not present in the author's other book, Wing Tsun Kuen such as footwork details and other leg-work, kicks, entry techniques, strategies, ring-fighting, common counter-attacks, theories, etc.

BEST "Teach Yourself" Martial Arts Book Available!,
By
This review is from: Dynamic Wing Tsun Kung Fu (Paperback)
Dynamic WingTsun KungFu contains detailed lessons for learning the basics Leung Ting WingTsun kungfu system. Included are chapters on stances, footwork, punching, kicking, hand and foot defenses, as well as anti-grappling techniques. As with other books by the same author - numerous camera angles show the techniques clearly - making it easy to follow for the beginner. Also included are training tips, advice, and diagrams for each chapter. This is the best "teach yourself" martial arts book available on the market and is highly recommended.

Wing Tsun or Wing Chun schools needed in Southeast Texas!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Dynamic Wing Tsun Kung Fu (Paperback)
This book is what I was hoping it would be. I haven't practiced it yet but I'm looking forward to. The author writes that these techniques have been proven in secret kung fu competions and in many open full-contact contests against martial art syles of all kinds, so this stuff should work. The book says Leung Ting created an improved way of fighting from the results of his students and other Wing Chun practioners in these competitions and from his own fighting experiences. This book contains good theories and nothing that seems impractical. It sucks that there aren't any schools of this or other arts like muay thai, brazilian jujitsu, krav maga, and jeet kune do close to my home. All that I know of are tae kwon do and karate. What I really want is like 200 miles west in Houston. I can't REALLY learn from books, I want real experience. Hopefully somebody who's qualified to teach one of these arts will read this and open up at least one good school in the Beaumont and Port Arthur area.
