  • The Dynaplug® Tubeless Tire Repair Plug is constructed from viscoelastic rubber impregnated cord and a non-abrasive brass tip.
  • Plug is specially designed to be inserted directly into a puncture using the Dynaplug Repair Tool after the puncture object has been removed.
  • The shape and size of the penetrating tip allows for easy penetration of most punctures. It's even easier to insert a second plug (when needed) because the first plug lubricates the hole.
  • Viscous rubber of the plug will flow slightly after the plug is in place. This fills small fissures or voids that radiate from the puncture hole into the casing and ensures a long lasting repair.
  • Dynaplug® retains its sealing ability indefinitely both during storage and in the tire, no glue is required.

Product Description

Size: 1 Pack of 5

Dynaplug Tire Repair Refill Plug bonds to the tire rubber and makes a permanent seal from the inside-out without glue or chemicals. The pliable plug rolls between the fingers as needed to insert it in the Dynaplug tool insertion tube. The shape and size of the penetrating tip allows for easy repair of most punctures. It's even easier to insert a second plug (when needed) because the first plug lubricates the hole. There is no waiting time and any measure required to cure the plug material. The viscous rubber of the plug fills small fissures or voids that radiate from the puncture hole into the casing and ensures a long lasting repair. Extra plugs may be conveniently stored in the handle of the Dynaplug tool and have an excellent shelf life. Plugs are 100% tested before packaging and are MADE IN THE USA.

Used this in a tire that had a pretty big piece of metal sticking out. Had to use 5 of the plugs but it sealed the leak and the repair is still holding up after a few months.

I thought the plugs are a bit pricey, they probably could have made them a bit cheaper by using a stiff nylon in place of the brass tips, but you cant argue with the results. I've used regular plugs for years and these made fixing a flat ten times easier.

If you do purchase the system, make sure you clean out the injector between each use. Very important or you'll have a lot of trouble getting the next plug into the injector.

The following review is for the Dynaplug tool. This item is for the refill for that tool. The refills will store readily inside the handle.

After living in Downtown Los Angeles for over 2 years, I have had about 5 bouts of tire leaks due to punctures. Before I found out about this product, I used the traditional DIY method of repairing my tire--with a kit I got at Pep Boys. It was always an exhausting, time consuming process. I'm not a very strong person and most of the punctures were with small objects (pallet nails, staples). Imagine having to stuff a thick, dull rasp tool through extremely thick tire tread.. Not fun. Threading a thick rubber embedded cord through a very thin slot was always a pain in the butt too. Always ended up having to fumble with needle nose pliers to pull it through requiring several tries.

Along comes this product. All I can say is WOW!!! Slick it up, insert the little plug into the tool, slick up the tool and hole with some more spit, and push it in. The tool is smooth and goes in with way less effort. Pull it out and snip the remainder. Done! By a very large margin, the absolute EASIEST tire repair tool you will EVER use.

For *extremely* small holes, it can still require a bit of effort, but no where near the unimaginable effort that would have been required of the typical rasp and thread-end tools. Just be sure to use spit. (Water doesn't work nearly as well).

Summary:

PROS:
-Makes repairing the smallest leaks much easier.
-Fast. Can repair a tire in half the time. Some have even repaired their tires without removing them.
-Permanent. Dynaplugs have been approved in Europe for permanent tire repair.
-Use way less strength. Only a single tool, and it is very thin.

These plugs are finally considered a permanent repair. I've coupled them with the Slime 40001 Power Sport Tire Inflator. It is the smallest and most powerful compressor available. Rock on!

I PURCHASED MY FIRST KIT 15 OR 20 YEARS AGO AT A LOCAL STORE AND WAS AMAZED HOW EASY IT WAS TO USE BUT WAS UNABLE TO FIND ADDITIONAL PLUGS. I ASSUMED A LARGE TIRE MANUFACTURER BOUGHT THEM OUT, THE ITEM WAS TOO GOOD TO LAST. I WAS THEN PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO FIND IT AGAIN ON AMAZON AND IMMEDIATELY ORDERED ANOTHER KIT WITH THE ADDITIONAL PLUGS. IT LITERALLY TAKES A COUPLE OF MINUTES TO FIX A PUNCTURE WHILE THE TIRE IS STILL ON THE VEHICLE. YOU JUST PULL OUT THE NAIL, ETC AND PUSH IN THE PLUG. FOR A LARGER HOLE PUSH IN A COUPLE OF PLUGS. IT DOES HOWEVER TAKE QUITE A BIT OF FORCE TO PENETRATE THE STEEL BELTS ON MY LARGE 16" STEEL BELTED TIRES.

Used these on two cars both with run flat tires and they worked great. You simply remove the nail/screw, load the Dynaplug tool and insert it into the hole. It may take 2 or 3 plugs but they eventually stop the leak and you just trim off the excess tail and youre done. Compared to buying a new tire for $200 or $300 its a winner!

This did exactly what it said it would do and is still holding up. It was very easy to apply and you can carry it around with you in your car as it doesn't take up space. I will be buying another one for my other car.

I run a rural mail route which of course includes gravel and dirt roads. I spend a lot of money on tire repairs and these plugs work very well as a short term as well as long term solution.

Bought this and kit to install for use on tubeless tire motorcycle (Kawasaki C14 Concours)

Used product on flat and was very easy to use and stopped the leak (had to use 2 plugs for a #10 screw hole)

Hole did not leak for about 50 miles and then started to lose about 2 psi a day.

Would recommend for roadside tire repairs, Also would suggest not for long term use for non simple nail / tack type tire repairs.

OEM Package no great to store un used plugs after package opened. Someone suggested using tin foil to wrap the un used plugs once package opened.

Would buy again for road side tire repair. Would not buy if you expect a permanent, safe, long term repair... just use product to get you home or to the repair shop.
