This is not the same as they use in hospital there is no cotton cushion between the plastic sheet and a paper lining. The flimsy paper liner disintegrates the minute it comes in to contact with urine. The liner itself is made of poor quality paper. Don't buy this product.

These pads were intended as extra protection on my baby's changing table. They are awful! They soak through with barely any liquid. Three of them are needed to get anything from seaking through. Do not waste your money and buy these.

This pad is technically a little larger than the Huggies brand and it is softer, but the fold is larger and the pad itself is not as sturdy. This is certainly cheaper than Huggies, which is why I tried it. I like the Huggies one better because it folds into a smaller size, which makes it easy to store or bring along in a diaper bag and I like the substantial weight that makes it harder for the baby to kick and mess up. Absorbency between the two is about the same.

Are you kidding me!?! These are "filled" with one layer of the kind of toilet paper you'd find in a public restroom! Definitely NOT soft or absorbent! I've been using underpads for many years and these are the worst quality I've ever bought...totally useless. They rip and fall apart with any movement especially after it has "absorbed" the slightest amount of moisture. I was going to send them back, but it was going to cost over half the price I paid for them...and then I wasn't going to get refunded the full price...they said they would deduct the cost to ship it to me. Why bother.

I was truly disappointed with these. When my tiny 4 lb dog urinates on them, his urine just runs off of it. It's also awful when you try to open it and your fingers go right through the darn thing and it rips. Ridiculous!

The chux are very poor quality, flimsy, not too absorbent. Quite a few were 'defective'. Some of them ripped or shredded when trying to unfold.

As other reviewers said these are of poor quality and different from what is shown in the picture. I've ordered the ones that are in the picture before in smaller pack and quality was pretty good for the price, but these ones don't have cotton cushion and just useless - I would hate to put my baby on them.

Small chux pads are a must for a baby. We use them on top of the changing pad so we don't have to wash the cover every time there is an accident. We also carry them in the diaper bag so any couch (or lap) can be turned into a changing pad.

The first time around, I ordered the chux pads made by NorthShore Champion Blue Disposable Underpads (Chux), Small Size 17 x 24, Pk/25. Then I ordered these because I assumed they'd all be the same and these were a little cheaper. Turns out, they are a little different. We like the NorthShore ones better because they seem softer and a little more absorbent. Not a huge difference though, sort of like a preference in paper towels - at the end they all do the job.

Update: Now that our little one is a year old, we don't go through these pads quite as fast. They are still a must on our changing table. Our baby is very squirmy and sometimes it's hard to keep all the mess inside the diaper. If it wasn't for these pads, we'd have to have several changing pad covers and wash they much more frequently. We're still going through the 100 that I ordered almost a year ago and these have grown on us but when it's time to reorder, we might still go with the NorthShore ones.
