Black nitrile exam gloves are the ideal solution for individuals sensitive to rubber latex and/or donning powder. They contain no allergy causing natural rubber proteins. Nitrile features extraordinary strength and puncture resistance while maintaining tactile sensitivity. Nitrile does not tear as easily as vinyl and feels more natural than both latex or vinyl. These gloves are ambidextrous, disposable and feature textured fingers for improved grip.

1.0 out of 5 stars Manufacturer Decreased Thickness/Quality of Gloves April 25, 2012
By Todd
Size Name:Large|Amazon Verified Purchase
If you've purchased these gloves before (namely between 2010 & early 2011) you'll notice that the quality of the gloves have decreased dramatically since then. The previous version of these gloves (sold in a black/red box with a white ribbon on it) were thick, durable, and well worth the money.

The latest version of these gloves (mostly tan box) are MUCH thinner, only last a fraction of the time that the other gloves did, are about 1 size smaller than before, and no longer stretch to fit your hand comfortably. These gloves are now too small for me (my size is/was large), they're uncomfortable to wear (older version stretched to fit your hand perfectly), and tear with the slightest snag.

I've compared the old gloves to the new ones by putting them side by side and holding them up to a light. After doing so I'd estimate that the new gloves allow 75% more light through than the older version of the gloves. That's ridiculous! This alone clearly illustrates how the manufacturer has greatly decreased the mil (thickness) of the gloves in the newest version of the product, probably just to save a couple bucks. Shame on you Dynarex!

In the form of star ratings, I'd give the old version 5 stars [*****], and the new version one star [*].

Size Name:Small|Amazon Verified Purchase
Oct 2011: I have used a box of these gloves over the past year for general household use - weeding the lawn and garden, various home improvement projects, spray painting, general cleaning, general repair tasks, removing stickers with solvents, cleaning parts with acetone, etc. They are thin to allow good dexterity for more precise tasks and also slightly textured for a good grip. They are quite strong and I have had no problem with the fingers ripping off or the glove body tearing, like I experienced with a previous brand I tried (blue color). These Dynarex gloves will rip/tear if used for too heavy duty of a task or accidently catch and pull on a very sharp pruning saw, for example, but that has been very rare for me. They fit well and are flexible to move with the hand, rather than constricting movement and causing hand fatigue like a previous brand I used. I really like the unobtrusive and classic black color of the gloves, especially when I am out working in the yard and don't want to call attention to my hands with a bright purple or blue glove. I am back to purchase another box since I have run out and was very satisfied with the first one.

Update Jan 2012:
I agree with the other reviews that these gloves have changed and are no longer as good. I purchased some in Nov 2011 and they are far less nice than the ones from a year before. I even checked the boxes when I received them to see what the difference may be. They are now manufactured in a different location (I think the new ones in Malaysia, can't remember the previous one and I have thrown the old box out) but have the same UPC code.

I am updating my review to 3 stars now (previously was 5 stars). The newer gloves seem to be slightly thinner and not as good of texture (smoother than the older ones). But the main difference is in fit (size medium). The new gloves are tighter and pull slightly in the area across the knuckles at the base of my hand. The fingers might also be slightly shorter. In any case, they are not as comfortable and seem to be lower quality. Very disappointing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heavy duty nitrile gloves. July 7, 2010
Size Name:Large|Amazon Verified Purchase
These gloves are of good quality, fit well on a very large male, are comfortable, and feel very durable. I use these when spraying weed killer either from the hose or directly from a hand-pump. These are a great option between latex gloves on one end and heavy duty kitchen or dish-washing gloves on the other. Of course, note that there are 100 gloves and not 100 *pair* of gloves. Should be obvious, but some may not be aware of that.
