Dynasty at the Crossroads is a Fun and Interesting Read,
By Mark Williams (Philadelphia, PA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dynasty at the Crossroads (A Story of Kids, Fans, and Values) (Hardcover)
I found Dynasty at the Crossroads to be a surprisingly good story that is written in an easy to read and interesting manner. The author is more of a reporter than a writer as he takes the reader through the entire year that he spent with an Ohio high school football powerhouse. While the story is focused on a sports team and there certainly are a lot of sports-related items in the book, the non-sports fan should find quite a bit that will maintain their interest. The book's sub-title: A Story of Kids, Fans, and Values says much about the variety of cultural subjects that the author tackles through his real-life characters. I recomend this book to anyone who wants to know more about our sports-crazed society as well as the challenges that kids really face growing up in a changing America.

I loved the book. It's the best thing I've ever read in my life. I think I might want to date this guy--perhaps even fool around with him!!Being a recovering, yet devout Catholic, that's the highest praise I can give. |
