This review is from: Dynasty Extra Hot Mustard, 4-Ounce Jars (Pack of 12) (Grocery)
Product advertises:
All natural ingredients No artificial preservatives or added flavors but then lists ingredients: Sodium Benzoate, (Preservative), (do they really think this is natural and not artificial...? What is their definition of artificial...?) It is easily found on www that "As an artificial preservative, sodium benzoate is commonly used to extend..." and "naturally occurring sodium benzoate does not act as a preservative" may be a great tasting product... but don't advertise something as "all natural ingredients" when they are not. Sodium Benzoate has been used in many things for a long time. Its safety is highly debateable... the problem is not one time consumption, but the cumulative build up of the chemical in the organs. Would prefer if they used another preservative, citric acid...? xylitol...? etc., which are safe. As far as their advertising, "no added flavors" --how did the licorice, wheat, salt, vinegar, ginger, garlic, etc. get in the mustard...? "naturally"... obviously, it is not worded well and is more of a typo... should read (if true) All natural ingredients No artificial preservatives added No artificial flavors added |
