There is no denying this is a brilliant series, and worth owning it. One of the finest dramatic serials ever made and most expensive to produce and wickedly entertaining. The problem only lies here where the studio has released the sets in two parts, seasons 4.1 (April 2009) and 4.2 (February 2010) and as bundled the whole season at once price for this specific item at a massively increased price point. As I write this, you can buy season 4.2 here at Amazon for less than $14.00USD , yet they are offering 4.1 and 4.2 for approx. $48.00. It is not a value to buy them bundled in plastic wrap. Buy them separately, and hopefully CBS Home Video will release the rest of the seasons more wisely in one box set for each season in the future, to save stores and consumers from wasted wrapping/boxes as they are doing in Europe. CBS HV has done an excellent job digitizing the picture and sound, and are applauded for that. But, I only wish they would just put out full seasons for it in the future at one reasonable price, knowing the series is well worth a slightly elevated price point due to it's grandeur and significance. Hopefully we will see seasons 5-9 in one box for each season in the future.

dynasty is an old favorite of many .It is essentially about the old 'oil days' and a man [Blake Carrington] who has ruthlessly pursued oil success at the cost of everything else including his first wife Alexis.That has made him intolerant and the attendant problems have come back to haunt him.Super performances bt John Forsythe and Joan Collins and a constant reminder that being rich and being happy are not the same thing !

season four? i have already bought part one. now i have to buy one and two to get to see two? what a rip off...
