Plays exactly like Dynasty Warriors series and Samurai Warriors. If you like the other games then you'll probably like this too. I don't mind the hack and slash games, but I only played Dynasty Warriors 4 and 5 on the PS2 and Samurai Warriors. I would recommend this to those that like the other series just because well it's a little new. It plays the same and all, but with the added Gundam theme. It's basically just like going from Dynasty Warriors to Samurai Warriors. Story isn't really that great though, but if you just wanna destroy 1000 enemies then this is it. I have only watched G Gundam and Gundam Wings, so I'm not sure how the other series was. But characters comes from all over the series, but only Domon from G Gundam and Heero from Gundam Wing is in here. Cuz I don't really recognize any of the other Gundams.

The game to me is shorter then the other series because well, there's really no more then 4 missions for each character. And it basically just drag each mission on to about 15 - 30 min. So basically to level your pilots (max 30) or Gundam (max 10) you would have to play the mission over and over. That's probably why they give the option to play with a pilot using different Gundam. Along with the cutscene and victories, they seem to be all the same no matter what Pilot you use. But there is a "Offical Mode" which follows the Gundam storyline, and it will end the same, with the same cut scenes no matter what side you pick....... The "Original Mode" Which is a story about a mysterious planet and all Gundam pilots are just thrown in there.

If you like the series, but don't like the Gundam theme then I suggest you just wait for Dynasty Warriors 6.

I have played several installments of the Dynasty Warriors series and it never truly felt anything had really changed. Like Street Fighter, the games used the same formula with new characters and for loyal fans, it worked but unless you were a fan of the series, it just wouldn't grab your attention. I've watched several Gundam series over the years and was excitied when I first heard of this game. I had read good reviews on it and many people I spoke with said it was worth a look so I bought a copy and have loved it. I can tell you right now that many Gundams are not included in this game mainly from the G-Gundam series though to be fair, many would prefer more Gundams from the Gundam Wing Series. I honestly would like to see Dragon Gundam and DeathScythe Gundam in this game but I am hoping they will do a sequel and add those Gundams in. Still regardless of how I would like certain characters added in, I still very much enjoy playing this game. It is just great fun to have several Zaku mobile suits coming at you at once and you just unleash combos on all of them and before you know it, you have already put down 100 enemies in less than a minute and a half. I would reccommend this game to any Gundam fan or Dyansty Warriors fan, however if you are not someone into battling several opponents at once, I would pass on this but I still would tell anyone, this is a great game to own.

At the current price, it's a must for any Gundam fans. They have about every series covered, although some are more highly favored than others(Mobile Suit Gundam and Gundam Seed). I would really like to see a game based soley on Gundam Wing come out soon!

If you are a Dynasty Warriors fan, you will like this. If you are a Gundam fan, you have to buy this. This game is very addicting and its replay value is high as you unlock characters and mobile suits as you finish each character's missions. It's hands down the best Gundam video game created.

it plays just like dynasty warriors and samurai warriors.but it relates more to samurai warriors.the story wasnt bad offical mode was ok it ended the same no matter wht.dont get me wrong the game is awsome the really only way to improve the game is more characters and tht would intern be able to make official mode better.i was expecting to play from gundam wing more thn just heero and zechs.like wise from ggundam master and buring.wht about 0083 gato and kou,or gundam seed. people really wanted more gundam wing and ggundam on top of who u all ready can play as from zeta and zz.the majority of the characters were from zeta and zz.point being more characters. i hope thy make another one.

I thought this game would take the grand scheme of battle and multi-enemy fighting of dynasty warriors, and the exciting, fast paced aerial and explosion filled combat of mech games, but I got really tired of playing this after about 15 minutes as it takes absolutely no skill and makes no sense. The enemy simply piles up around you waiting for their chance to get destroyed, occasionally using their guns. The space battles are grounded, but you hover instead of walking (star filled back-ground and floor included). This game isn't dynamic at all and lacks any challenge besides getting over a thousand enemy (metal tree) kills.

"Send the Mobile Suits into battle! Be sure not to use any tactics! Just gang up in a circle around that guy like this was a cheesy kung-fu movie and wait your turn to get some electro-blade!" -the enemy commander

This game is silly in all ways. I'm pist that i rented it.

THIS GAME IS SIMILAR AS THE CHINESE DYNASTY WARRIOR, THE DIFFERENCE IS ONLY THE CHARACTERS ARE GUNDAMS. THE STORY IS OK, YOU ALSO CAN SELECT INGAME LANGUAGE BUT THE SKILLS OF GUNDAMS ARE WACK. I AM A GUNDAM FANS, I PLAYED ALL SERIES OF SUPER ROBOTS WAR, I EVEN CAN NAME ALL THE GUNDAMS. I'M SO THERE'S ONLY HEERO IN THIS GAME FROM THE GUNDAM WING'S SERIES, THERE ARE FIVE OF THEM BUT ON HEERO WAS HERE. AND THOSE ENEMIES ARE TOO EASY TO DEFEATED JUST LIKE THE CHINESE DYNASTY WARRIOR.
