I have had this product for over three years, it is a great and highly recommended. I will be seeking another of this same type because I gave my other one to my friend. It displays an excellent picture and sound. I absolutely love it. Highly recommended.

We have owned this device for about 2 years, and only use it for long trips. If we used it more than 15 times in two years I would be surprised, so I was very surprised when it stopped working after such limited use. While it worked, the picture quality and sound were good enough considering the price of the unit. The battery life was bad to begin with, and totally worthless after 1 year. We didn't care about battery life since we only planned to use it in the car. It currently tries to load a DVD or CD but fails every time. It spins, but maybe not fast enough? Low quality - consider it a disposable unit - with those expectations you should be OK.

I bought this for my 2 year old a year ago. 11 months after buying it - it stopped reading discs. It kept saying "no disc" when there was a disc in the player and wouldnt read it. I called Dynex since I still have the manual, they said to get a dvd cleaner and use it at least 3 times or more. I did and it wouldnt even read the dvd cleaner disc. But I didnt give up. I tried for almost a half hour repeatedly taking it out and putting it back in. Finally it read it! But it was short lived and went back to saying "no disc" when I put the next dvd in. Finally I couldnt even get it to read the dvd cleaner disc either and I tried for about an hour. I feel its defective and should have worked at least a year. BTW I have read other reviews about this and I am not the only one. The person I spoke with at Dynex wasnt surprised either so I suspect this product is defective. Plus THERE IS ONLY A 3 MONTH WARRANTY! You have to ask yourself why that is when the competitions warranties are generally 1 year parts and 3 month labor!! If you read a review and the person just bought it - dont trust the review! It will go bad and it wont take a year to do it. Some people had theirs go bad after just 2 months! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I bought this portable dvd player because we were flying overseas with 3 kids & needed the distraction. The seller said it was in like new condition. When I received the item and tried to play a dvd but it wouldn't work.

My husband and I bought this product a little over a year ago, to free up our television from our two year old daughter. This DVD Player was great, the size of the screen was perfect, the sound was wonderful, we really did love it. But after we had it for a year it just stopped working. I had it playing one morning, then in the afternoon, my daughter wanted to watch one of her tapes, and it wouldn't come on. I thought maybe the battery was bad, but it wont charge, and the charger light doesn't even come on. I wrote to Dynex about the problem, but they didn't even bother to send me a response back. I feel that this is a great DVD player, I would have given it a 5 star, but I also feel that it should have lasted longer than a year. The next player we purchase will not be from Dynex.
