I don't notice the keys being excessively noisy, but they are noisier than I'd like (I'd like silence).

At first glance, I shrugged at the idea of this keyboard and usually dislike the extra quick or hot keys for applications. However, for the price, I am very pleased with the quality of this keyboard and plan on buying at least 4 more for my other systems. The volume key has come in handy for quick access too.

It is currently my main keyboard for my office desktop and it functions as it should. Will be buying more...

The keyboard is wonderful! Took me a few days to get into the feel of it, as each keyboard is different, but the quality is excellent and is very stable! Thrilled with it, truly! The packaging was terrific when shipped and delivery quick! Highly recommend! Very quiet keyboard, not tinny sounding at all! Will purchase from them again!

This keyboard arrived rapidly, in perfect condition, though the packing looked like something a blind monkey would have come up with. (Two plastic shipping envelopes over the product box joined with gray duct tape wound randomly around the package and the shipping label applied over the mess.) I wish the shipper would give a bit more thought to the professionalism of presentation. I would not have wanted to send this as a gift, for instance.

Others have mentioned the noise of the keys, but I don't require a silent keyboard. I like the positive feel to the keys and have no problem at all typing with it. I grew up touch-typing on old manual typewriters, progressing to electrics and finally to the early word processors and computers. I haven't noticed any tiring of my hands, and I type on this and other keyboards several hours a day.

The clip on skirt / hand rest looked a bit flimsy but was actually a nice feature. I like the fact that I could choose to put it on or not. I do use it, and I think it helps.

I worried a bit that the functionality of the hot keys would not be there with my Linux system. This turned out not to be a factor. The hot keys work great.

This gives daily service on my main work computer. For cost, dependability, and ease of use, I give this high marks.

Just a quickie review here...

I'm someone who comes from an "old-school keyboard" background. For the past 10+ years I've been using tactile-feel, mechanical keyboards like the ones having either Alps keyswitches (such as in the Apple Extended II keyboards) or buckling-spring keys (such as in the old IBM Model-Ms). In the Fall of last year I went on an extended, 2-month trip to Canada and didn't bring my click-clack keyboards with me, assuming I'd be okay with my friend's laptop keyboard. I quickly realized that I needed an external, so I grabbed the CHEAPEST one I could find, which is this one. Very surprisingly for me, I actually not only adjusted to a rubber-dome keyboard but eventually came to enjoy it. After returning to the US, I've since purchased another one for myself (I left the other one behind in Canada), and now I'm using it exclusively. This says a lot for someone like me who has always demanded top-of-the-line keyboards. I'm a UNIX sysadmin and programmer, so I do tons of typing every day, somehow managing to murder almost every "vanilla" keyboard I get my hands on. Well, we'll see how long this one lasts, but so far it's held up quite well to my punishment. No complaints whatsoever. I really don't see the added value in a lot of other rubber-dome-technology keyboards out there compared to this one. It's the cheapest out there, and, frankly, I don't feel like I'm missing a single thing.

Okay, so maybe this wasn't such a quickie after all :)

For the price, this keyboard is very satisfactory but not perfect. There are features I like a lot but some others, not so much. I like the ability to adjust sound level via hot keys and mute sound completely, but the other sound keys such as the track forward and back keys, only work when my iTunes is actually showing on the screen, not when it is running in the background while I'm working on something else and that's when I actually need them. When iTunes is in the foreground, I can easily change tracks, etc., via its own screen and don't need to use the hot keys, so they don't do me much good.

The hot keys on the left side of the keyboard are also iffy. The internet related keys work when I'm in IE but not when I'm using AOL, so they don't offer me much benefit. Only the bottom three (My computer, Calculator and Switch application) work for me all the time. Still, that's more than my old keyboard offered and something I value.

I like that the indicator for the 'Lock' keys is very obvious. This really helps when I accidentally hit the Caps Lock key and am getting unexpected results when typing a password that is case sensitive, for example. It's very clear when the Lock keys are engaged.

I like the wrist rest and so far (only two months) I've noticed no wear on the keys. I wouldn't expect to so soon but will be on the look out for that (and will update if it happens). My other keyboard (HP brand) became unreadable and even had grooves and worn depressions in the keys. That was annoying and the reason I bought this new keyboard.

I don't notice the keys being excessively noisy, but they are noisier than I'd like (I'd like silence).
