this is a great piece that fits well into the whole series of dvds and media by jef gazley. this item is great to take education and self awareness to further depths. by incorporating the dvds into my education i have gained further insight and each time watching come up new points of awareness not only for self but also in analyzing books media and others. great item to watch with family and friends as well - lots of opportunities to pause dvd and discuss and take to new levels in relationships. i feel that using this tape solo and then with my mother that it broadened both of our awareness of our family dynamics but also created a good bond of understanding between us. its hard to get another to read a book but to sit down and watch a dvd - you can find others having that light bulb go on phenomena-

As with all Jef Gazely's works, this DVD gives a unique and thoughtful explanation of the cause of the problem as well as practical approaches to changing behaviors.

This video helped me to take a good look at my own family. It also helped me to understand my behavior in relationship to the family in which I was raised. It is like reading a very good book on the subject in one sitting. I learned a lot.

While I think everyone is a little dysfunctional in some part of life, my family dynamics are a whole lot of dysfunction! The video highlights what dysfunction is and how to eleviate it. This has allowed me better understand my relationship with my family members and perhaps other failed personal relationships. As a mother this has also helped me to identify areas in which I can improve in order to create a more functional family for my daughters although I am divorced.

This video has some amazingly helpful information in it. Its not just helpful if you are in therapy or are concerned about having a dysfunctional family background, the lessons here are useful for everyone. You can learn a bit about the impossible standards and expectations we have for ourselves and those around us and begin to see where this comes from and how to change it. Great information you can learn in a short period of time! I also recommend checking out the other videos on here by the same therapist--just do a search for Jef Gazley!

I have always wondered where are the instructions for raising healthy children and just knowing how to get along in relationships and how a family works? Dr. Gazley presentation is easy to understand and it works. I would recommend this and his complete DVD/VHS series. Look for answers to issues relating to Boundaries, PTSD, Love addiction/Love avoidance, chemical dependency, and more. I feel that every parent in America would benefit by following the guidelines presented. In a society that teaches dysfunction, this is the cure.

I recommend this DVD and Dr. Gazley's entire series to everyone. This is a must have in every home.
