You could almost feel sorry for Richard Fitzpatrick (Jason Priestley), self-absorbed Rat Pack devotee and pusher of "quality" used cars. In this season, "Fitz" not only has to contend with his profane father, depressing sister, creepily seductive mother and "Larry," his perpetual companion who claims to be Fitz's conscience embodied, but to add his woes the family car dealership has taken on a powerful new employee, a seductive redhead named Dot Foxley, who has plans of her own. Along the way, a trip to an itinerant fortune-teller has given Fitz and Larry reason to fear the "Beaver Moon," which they take to be an astronomical event coming up in less than three months. Unsure whether to embrace or flee his fate, Fitz and Larry and the rest of the cast stumble through one misadventure after another. If anything, Season Two outpaces Season One, but unless you live in Canada or have access to DirecTV, you'll have to buy the DVD's like the rest of us to find out why Canada has put its own take on the "dirtbag sitcom" on the comedy map. Not for the faint of heart.

Awesome show! Great writing! Great acting! Very unsuitable for young children and religious families! This show is going to be an Arrested Development in five years. People will discover it and wonder why the hell it never caught on. There will be enough interest to put together another season only available on Netflix. Similar genre to Wilfred. Some of this stuff is just a little bit beyond the reach of your everyday TV watcher.

This show is very clever and well written. Jason Priestly is fabulous in his role, as are all the actors in this highly original and entertaining series. If you are offended easily, may not be for you...Otherwise, enjoy the delicious humor and fantastic writing and acting offered up by all responsible for "Call Me Frtz"!
