It's a basic floor tool. The one that my Dyson came with was a strange tool that felt weird to push(for me at least), didn't work that well, and even stranger to figure out (so when you hit the switch it gets flatter and that works better how?)The brush bristles work well. I use it on my tile floor to pick up my cat litter easily and it works pretty well with my (low) carpet, though the main unit does a little better job. I've had it for just over half a year and aside from getting a little loose where it connects to the hose (with the amount of times I've bashed the thing, it's no surprise), I think it has held up well. I will definitely look for another like this, if this one should break or fail.

This is a great attachment for cleaning if you have pets or hard floors. We use it to clean cat hair off sofas and just around on a regular hard floor around the edges.Works great and doesn't scratch the floor. We purchased the multi-attachment pack for the Dyson too, but use this separate purchase the most!

Bristles push the dirt around :(,

I bought this attachment to use on my hardwood and tile floors. There are bristles lining the entire attachment. This is not a good thing. They push the dirt forward instead of allowing it to be sucked up. This is very frustrating. Take my word for it. I returned it immediately. I'm going to try the flat out floor attachment. Hopefully, it doesn't have stationary bristles.
