4.0 out of 5 stars Works great.
It's a basic floor tool. The one that my Dyson came with was a strange tool that felt weird to push(for me at least), didn't work that well, and even stranger to figure out (so when you hit the switch it gets flatter and that works better how?)

The brush bristles work well. I use it on my tile floor to pick up my cat litter easily and it works pretty well...

1.0 out of 5 stars Bristles push the dirt around :(
I bought this attachment to use on my hardwood and tile floors. There are bristles lining the entire attachment. This is not a good thing. They push the dirt forward instead of allowing it to be sucked up. This is very frustrating. Take my word for it. I returned it immediately. I'm going to try the flat out floor attachment. Hopefully, it doesn't have stationary bristles.

The brush bristles work well. I use it on my tile floor to pick up my cat litter easily and it works pretty well with my (low) carpet, though the main unit does a little better job. I've had it for just over half a year and aside from getting a little loose where it connects to the hose (with the amount of times I've bashed the thing, it's no surprise), I think it has held up well. I will definitely look for another like this, if this one should break or fail.

This is a great attachment for cleaning if you have pets or hard floors. We use it to clean cat hair off sofas and just around on a regular hard floor around the edges.

Works great and doesn't scratch the floor.

We purchased the multi-attachment pack for the Dyson too, but use this separate purchase the most!

I am a recent convert to the Dyson scene, and this Hard Floor Tool is awesome. We have new Brazilian cherry floors and this tool doesn't hurt the floor at all. No marks, nothing. The bristles help get up anything stuck in the little grooves between the pieces of flooring and it sucks up everything right up to the very edges. It also rotates totally flat so you can clean under couches without having to move them. This works great on the tile too. Cleaning the hardwoods and tile just got easier and a whole lot faster.

This tool is the greatest, has a large footprint allowing the job to get done quicker. A row of brushes all around the base keep that pesky dirt from flying around while picking up micro particales.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great cleaning accessory, December 19, 2010

We just moved into a house with hardwood floors. I prefer to vacuum up dust/dirt before cleaning rather than using the Swiffer Wet Jet method, which really doesn't hold on to all the dirt/dust in its pad, adding a scratchy risk to the new floors. *AHHHHHHHHH*

Just what I needed for my wonderful Dyson vacuum. Lots of hard surfaces to clean and this attachment does the job well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect multipurpose tool, December 6, 2011

I purchased this after returning Dyson Articulating Hard Floor Tool. The articulating tool would be grand for large areas of tile or wood flooring. In my case, I wanted something to use on low pile carpet, the kitchen and the bathroom. This hard floor tool works for me. There are gaps in the bristles to permit debris to find its way to the suction area. The little rollers on the bottom of the tool make it user friendly rather than user abusive. This tool is also easy to use for vacuuming scatter rugs.

This is exactly what I wanted to clean my floor all over my house. The brush is gentle but cleans nicely and I feel better about vacuuming my house that I'm catching all the fine dust.

Item works great but I'm not sure I needed it. More hassle to put on the hose attachment when I can just vacuum and turn off the brushes.
