Very upset to receive this item and find that it is not "by Dyson" as the listing says. It is actually made by SpareSaver - a name not mentioned anywhere in the item description or details. I will be returning this right away. It may be a great alternative to the expensive Dyson-made filter but that's not what I wanted. This will be my first return to Amazon due to an inaccurate listing. I called Dyson and ordered a genuine part immediately. This is an expensive vacuum and I don't want to mess around.

If you only have one..buy an extra..the filter must be completely dry or the smell will drive you out of the house. New filter - no smell. Now I have one dry and ready when i wash the dirty one.

This is a generic, third-party replacement part manufactured in China. The item description describes it as "by Dyson" but this product is no made by nor authorized by Dyson. Use at your own risk. Personally, I am returning mine.

Nothing but a run around from Dyson and several other stores that you would think would quickly ship this item. Amazon shipped it in one day and my vacuum was back in service.

This dealer was very prompt and insisted on replacing the first filter. Would definitely buy from him again.

I have a Dyson DC14 and ordered this filter as a back up. IT does not fit my Dyson AT ALL. Don't waste your money.

Replacement filter is great, exactly as described. A huge improvement over the 5 year old original filter! These filters do not really last a "lifetime" with dogs, even with regular washing.

(edited) I have a Dyson DC14 "Full Kit" (that's what it says on the vacuum itself). I bought it refurbished on woot.com about 2.5 yrs ago. It's been a great vacuum. When I bought it, it came with some extra floor attachments and a spare 'lifetime' filter, so that you'd not have to be without the vacuum while you washed one filter. (edit: this works fine, the yellow filter is the 'pre-filter'.. you never need to change the HEPA).

Anyway, it's hard for me to fault the seller 100%. The product arrived quickly, packaged well and clearly it's worked for others. (edit: clearly this was in large part user error!).

EDIT: There is clearly some confusion here. This part is the "pre-filter" and I thought it was the 'HEPA' Filter. That's why it didn't fit. I contacted Dyson, they responded with an appropriate explanation. I have returned this part, modified my rating, and changed the review. The part was returned because as I said in the original review, I already had this pre-filter. NOTE to users: do not remove your HEPA filter. it's about $50 to replace and they claim you need to replace it and the seal ($10) if you remove it. Technically they say it voids your warranty as well.

So, it's the correct part, the price was right, fast delivery etc. etc. I apologize to the seller for any issue caused via my first review and inaccuracies therein.

No issues with this product. The packaging seemed a little old, but the filter inside smelled new and looked fine. Once I replaced my old filter with the new one I could immediately notice a difference in the use of my vacuum and smell coming out of it (there was no more smell!). Excellent filter to have on hand.

Title says it all. It will not fit the DC14. I would NOT recommend this product.
