Received this item in the mail a couple of weeks ago. Went to use it today and realized that there is an adapter tool required to make it work with the vacuum that I did not receive. This item from dyson.com is the same price and comes with the adapter. Would have been nice to realize I was purchasing an incomplete item.

User beware. If you use these tool to actually vacuum pet hair off of furniture the hair simply gets twisted around the bristles until you finally have to stop and manually pull off the hair and throw it away. I've started using a dandy little thing called "Pet Hair Magnet" I get at my local pet store for $12 or so and scrape off the hair and then suck it up in the hose of my Dyson Animal. Works much better and less frustrating. I was actually foolish enough to purchase a replacement from Amazon, being SURE the one that came with my Dyson was defective. Nope, same terrible tool. Not sure why as I've certainly used other power brushes and they've worked fine.
