I know I'm a bit behind the times sometimes with music but I recently bought this album after a friend told me it was a must have. I have to agree, it definately is. This album is nothing short of brilliant. A very good mix of styles but still very original, unique and refreshing. Has a retro feel, but also sounds very new. I'm reminded of ELO, David Bowie and Pink Floyd all wrapped up in a danceable beat. A must have for 'retro' fans and anyone who just likes good music.

Wonderful cd, pulls you in and keeps you there even when it restarts. Been playing it in my car since i got it over 2 weeks ago and the only reason i have even considered changing it out for one of my other cds is because i feel bad for them. Its to good to even get bored of.

.....you'd think a nonstop dance beat would be the death of an experimental rock album, but the aptly-named Juggernauts use it as a launching pad for mesmerizing melodic progressions, beautiful vocals and just one killer song after another on this debut release......three guys on guitar/synth/drums who'll take absolutely ANYTHING they love musically, mix it in a blender on high and throw it back out at you in hypnotic grooves that sound familiar and crazy new at the same time.....the energy is unbelievable, just saw them on stage last week and their music's been playing in my head ever since......great show, great band, great album!!!

I've really enjoyed the Juggernaut's album Dystopia. It's a real amalgam of 70s, 80s, 90s and beyond sounds. For example, one moment I'm hearing Dead or Alive; the next minute, I am hearing Pink Floyd. Pretty cool. My favorite track is still Road to Recovery, but I am finding a lot to like about the rest of their work, too. Fun stuff.

Every track is great. Just stumbled onto them on a whim and was completely blown away. You should certainly pick this up and listen to David Bowie meets LCD Soundsystem.

I'll never forget a scary relationship-building on-site client visit in East Tennessee in 2000 ... the day I happened upon Daft Punk Discovery and for the first time felt the world understood me :-> (Johnson City, TN -- how they had an alt station on FM I'll NEVER know!)
Anyway, these guys ... this cd .... its 8 years ago all over again and I'm pulling my car over, jaw agape, crying ... because I'm amazed all over again and this cd is not leaving my shuffle for 2 years just like the Daft Punk of 8 years ago! You will NOT be dissapointed. Trust this 35 yo male living in the frozen nether-regions of the Twin Cities, MN! HOOZAH!!!! AWESOME!!!

Midnight Juggernauts is very innovative with their sounds. Though not the same as Pink Floyd, it reminds me very much of Pink Floyd. I haven't heard an album like this in years, and for their first full length album, Midnight Juggernauts really puts on a show. Not a single bad song on the album. Five stars, hands down. Buy this CD!

See it Live,
By
This review is from: Dystopia (Audio CD)
I have yet to play this album for anybody who didn't wish to buy it for themselves. Some people ask me if it's Daft Punk. Some people ask me if it's Bowie. All people love tracks 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13. Most people love tracks 1, 6, and 11. Some people even think there are bonus tracks that aren't listed on Amazon.
Suggestion - See this band live. If you haven't bought the album by then, I guarantee you will.

I have not heard such a deep and profound album like this in quite a long time. Shadows is simply amazing. It reminds me of the melancholy new wave of the 80's but then changes gears and gives you, your right, daft punk with a sprinkle of LCD Soundsystem. Must have album!
