Love it. Not sure why some have difficulty using this. With added jigs and guides, these types of clamp/straight-edges are invaluable. These Emersons are a good value and work as expected. I wouldn't feel the need to purchase some of the more expensive brands. If you are looking to make ripping and crosscutting easier using a circular or jig saw, grab this up. If you are tired of dado cuts that just don't fit right or are misshaped because only a wabble-blade is in your budget range, pick one of these up. I guarantee that once you purchase one of these, you will quickly see the need to purchase others in the different sizes. Trust me, these deserve a place on your clamp rack!

I had previously purchased the 100" version and it worked great, so I bought this one for shorter cuts and routing. Quality of the product and the manufacterers packaging is excellent. One heads up; R-E-A-D the instructions - you need to get the hang of how the slide works - once you understand that you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend.

I wasn't quite clear from reading about this clamping tool/edge guide if it would adjust well to wood sizes smaller than 24" as I was trying to cut across wood that was only about 10 inches wide with a circular saw. I found the adjustment easy even though I did have to free the metal parts with my finger that secure the far side. These pieces work like the metal catch on a screen door but there are three of them that bunch together and catch so the far rubber edge won't slide out. It works quite well and never broke free while I was making a cut. The near side that actually has the three clamping positions by pushing downward on the blue tabular piece is easier to clamp and applies enough pressure that it also does not come free. As mentioned in other reviews, a tee square is needed to ensure the clamp is perpendicular to the edge of the wood as it does not pull itself flush and be at a true right angle just by clamping it down - there is some play which would permit you to make a cut that was not straight across if you so desired. In summary, this tool saved hours of time over using traditional C-clamps with a straight edge. It is sufficiently thick and rigid such that sliding a saw along the guide is easy. I highly recommend this tool.

The clamping mechanism on this guide isn't hard to use. Clear instructions are sent with it. A whole 30 seconds to look over them and you're good to go. If you do it right the clamp isn't going to move. It's easy to use and provides a solid straight edge to run my saw or router against. Story sticks will no doubt help when lining it up for a cut.

Easy to use and stays in place. If it didn't come with a ruler on it I would give it 5 stars, but the rulers on both of mine are off more than a quarter inch over the entire length of 24".

I use this item all the time for guiding my skill saw. It's very well made and the clamping system is easy to adjust. The clamping pressure is adjustable depending on where the lever is positioned.

I have the 50" one also and I wish I had bought a set of these a long time ago. Very easy to use and the clamp works great.
