== Overview ==
The Taylorcraft is a conventional layout, high wing, fabric-covered, two-seat aircraft known for its speed and efficiency on limited horsepower engines. The designer, Clarence Taylor, can rightfully be called the father of private aviation in America. Clarence Taylor first designed the Taylor Cub, which became the Piper Cub?ùnotably civilian aviation's most recognized airplane. After Mr. Taylor was forced to sever ties with his financier William Piper because of conflicting goals, he vowed to build a new, personal aircraft superior to the Cub in all respects and succeeded. The Taylorcraft was faster, more comfortable, more attractive, and more modern by the standards of the day. By the 1940s, the Taylorcraft was a mainstay on the civilian aviation front.

I have flown many park flyers of all types over the years. I purchased this from a gift certificate and I can vouch that the flight performance is amazing. There is a long thread dedicated to this plane over on RC groups which solidifies its popularity.Flies very slow, or open her up for some beautiful aerobatics. Does not like wind at all, I would not recommend flying in more than 5MPH winds The structure is quite fragile, I have pulled off all the covering to customize the trim scheme and have strenghthened key areas like the landing gear area and firewall. This is not a good airplane to learn on, get your wings with a trainer and then move on to this little bird. One good stall into the ground can break a lot so this is definatelly a plane for modders/builders. The quality of parts is good overall, especially the windows which are very easy to install. Would be awesome if this was offered as a kit, but I guess that is wishful thinking in this day and age. What are you waiting for, buy one!!
