E3 works GREAT in my Tacoma...,

This review is from: E3 Spark Plugs E3.56 Automotive, Truck, Van and SUV OEM Replacement Spark Plug , Pack of 1 (Misc.)
I wasn't sure that all the hype over these plugs would prove true... but it DID! Like others, I just had to try em out. I must say that the item wasn't the best finished product I'd ever seen, but performance was noticeably improved. Starting improved (as with all new plug installations), idle was smoother, acceleration was smoother and torque stronger. I also noticed my rig had better and smoother punch in the "over-rev" portion of the tachometer. I'd say these new plugs are well worth the effort. My 4cyl Toyota Tacoma doesn't make neck-snapping power, but it responded very well to what I believe is improved ignition provided by these plugs. I like good plugs, and have used Splitfire Triple Platinum, Denso Platinum, NGK Iridium, and others... I threw out a set of Iridiums when I installed these E3's. I'm not going back to any of the others. I'm an E3 man now. Give 'em a try, I think they'll prove to be the go-to for that little extra boost of reliability and power. Overall, I'm very pleased.

I first tried these in a 2002 ford ranger 4.0, I went from 14-15 mpg to 16-18 in the ball park of a 2% increase, and better starting and a power increase.
Today I put a set in my 2007 FJ Cruiser 4.0, again and probably even more noticable power, and I can tell you when I filled up yesterday, I got 15.1 mpg, After I put the plugs in and did my running, and refueled, I hit 18.5 mpg. So yes, I feel these plugs are worth the money, I definitly recommend E3!

I own a '93 Honda Del Sol 1.5 Si base engine with fuel injection. Trips taken in this vehicle can be long 350+ miles and return the same day. Until recently unrefueled range on the car was 280 miles; since putting in 4 E3 spark plugs range is 340 miles at 70-75 mph. I have tried Bosch +4, Split Fire, and NGK platinum.
This plug's performance in my vehicle is superior; it yields greater gas mileage, torque, and speed.

I didn't notice anything based on performance when switched from NGK R to E3 spark plugs. The start up, horsepower, and fuel economy all seem relatively the same.
I have a boosted vehicle, and at high rpms I burned too much fuel, which was embarrassing. The E3 solved that problem and I think paying the extra couple bucks was worth it just for that reason.

Did a tune-up on my 2000 silverado 5.3l. Bought new E3 plugs and accel 9000 wires(not cheap). Had emission problems and missing. Repair shop said it was the plugs and wires. The Accel 9000 wires with the e3 plugs were causing the problem. 400+ dollars later with the proper plugs and quality wires, it runs perfectly. Don't buy this garbage.

e-3 spark plugs.do not use in late model wrangler,
This review is from: E3 Spark Plugs E3.56 Automotive, Truck, Van and SUV OEM Replacement Spark Plug , Pack of 1 (Misc.)
CHECK WITH YOUR DEALER TO SEE IF PLUGS ARE RECOMMENDED FOR YOUR VEHICLE...I put a set in my 09 wrangler, drove from Kentucky to Florida. At approximately 600 miles the jeep started missing, at 700 it was missing and back firing, we stopped for the night. We took it to a jeep dealer the next morning, they put it on the computer and told me one plug was dead and three were breaking down. Also the plugs were not recommended by Dodge and should not have been installed, as a result the warranty did not cover repairs.
I had to pay $197.00 for diagnostics and new plugs, then on the way back to Kentucky the check engine light came on, back to Dodge dealer, because of the back firing, I had to replace EGR valve and PCV valve also not covered by wrranty, $572.00. both dealers said the E-3 plugs because of the firing/spark design the computer sent the wrong firing command and the plugs did not work right, the back firing killed the EGR and PCV. In my opinion if you have a late model Jeep you should not use this plug under any circumstances.

I was skeptical due to some of the reviews but the product explanation made sense. Got these to replace Denso Iridium plugs which have been great, so I'm waiting to see the final results before deciding if I'll go back to Denso or not.
Acceleration with the E3s is even and consistent. I don't know about continued high speed use because they just installed radar guns on my work route. Everything so far is normal. Glad I don't have to gap the plugs because I've never been confident that you can gap all plugs exactly the same and the gap tool has a lot to be desired. I also like that with E3s you don't have loose pieces (washer & terminal). So you have confidence that everything will be where it should when you place it down in the rabbit hole. |
