Product Description

E6000® is a tough, flexible and highly versatile rubber-based compound that exhibits exceptional adhesive and sealant qualities. Among the strongest single component, multi-purpose adhesives and sealants available for industrial applications, E6000 outperforms silicones, acrylics and rubber cements because it adheres to more surfaces with greater durability. It provides a superior bond on stubborn porous and non-porous substrates and maintains its bond in cold temperatures and on items subject to vibration.

I have always used E6000 for crafts and then I began using it for household repairs as well. It's super strong and dries fast & clear. Fumes are horrible but this glue holds metal to metal and repairs glass, wood, leather and can be used on fabric for small repairs; basically the ONLY substance you cannot apply this to is styrofoam since it will cause that to distentegrate. E6000 is expensive but a little goes a long ways and again it can be used on almost any repair. 5 stars

If you are looking for an adhesive that will bond nearly everything to anything then look no farther. I have use this to repair my wifes shoes, attach insoles in my own shoes, repair the liner of our above ground pool, reattach the formica to our counter tops.

The only downside to this product is that it takes 48 hours to fully dry. That isn't a big problem, considering how strong it is after that 48 hours, and the other great attributes of it, but it is something that you should be warned about.

Don't wait until the last minute to use or buy this product. It takes 48 hours to fully dry according both to the instructions and my experience.

Other than the 48 hour drying time, which isn't an issue if you plan for it, this glue is great. It dries completely clear, is easy to use, and is very strong. I can't think of what else you would look for in a craft glue. Tackiness, maybe. Upon application, it is quickly tacky enough to hold most light work, such as beads or rhinestones. That makes use easy, because you don't need to stand there clamping each item with your finger as you work. For heavier applications, you might need to clamp or hold it longer, but for light items a few seconds was sufficient.

This is the "go to" glue at our house. Some examples from around the house:
Glue decorations onto earring studs. Repair jewelry.
Fix tennis shoe soles. (shoes have been washed since, and still fine)
Fix cracked handle on mug (and it has been through the dishwasher at least 50 times since then).
Glue clip to an mp3 player that had fallen off.
Fix all sorts of toys.
Glue a tile back onto the concrete floor.

Few of things to be aware of:

It takes 48-72 hours to be completely dry.
Follow the directions for non porous materials(thin amount on each surface, wait 2 min and press together)
You really want the version with the pointy top, it is much easier to control and to get the lid back on.
You can actually use most of this up (unlike superglue, which always seems to dry up in the tube).
It is NOT recommended for Styrofoam (it eats it).
Is listed as good for Glass, wood, Plastic, Tile, Metal, Cramic, Cement, Rubber, Vinyl, Leather and Fabric.
NOT for kids, the vapor is harmful and you really do not want this all over the place.

Ok I used this to build a stormtrooper armor. That means ABS plastic together or to webbing straps. Took me 1 tube and a half.

It has a 2-20 minutes grip time, 6-8 hours fastening time, and 24-48 hours curing time. Never had a break. Knowing these facts you have to consider tape, clamps or rare earth magnets to hold your parts together during the first hours. I recommend to sand or scratch the two surfaces to glue, and then clean with rubbing alcohol or hand disinfectant, this to greatly increase the contact area. I doesn't heat, and I haven't experienced heating reaction with steel metal (when glueing around snap buttons for example), so that must be a myth.

When I want to undo something, I carefully pull the pieces out which leaves me a clean surface or with some residue I can peel, it is forgiving. Just rubbing with my thumb is enough to remove residues.

Everyone I know prefer E6000 for assembling plastic armor costumes like the Stormtrooper costume, the only reason people use 2 part epoxy would be emergency repairs or because it is more accessible locally (I live in Europe and I have yet to see E6000 in a store).

definitely works. I thought I killed the dog though, as the fumes were so strong with this stuff, we had to go completely outside after 15 minutes of me working on it. I thought I was getting high.

This stuff works just fine. I've purchased quite a few over the years for art projects and the E6000 never disapoints. I'd recommend it.
