I was in the market for a stylish, waterproof hiking boot. So many look like chunky man boots. Not these. What I first noticed about these boots when I opened the box is the details. Each shoe comes in its own carry bag too. They look very similar to the Ugg Cove boot and the Born Scape. However I read that those more expensive boots are less comfortable so I went with the Earth Scenic. Boy am I glad I did. These boots look great and feel great. The footbed is nice and soft and I barely notice the Negative heel technology. I have them in the Black 8.5 since the Peanut was sold out. If you search around you can find a decent price on these, mine were $64 with shipping. These boots have a nice rounded toe and with the footbed at 4" wide it has ample room without that smooshed toe feeling. I normally wear an 8 in Skechers. An 8 in these would have been too small. I'm glad I got the 8.5 in these but could have been comfortable too in a 9 if I wanted more wriggle room. I like the tread design on the bottom of shoe as well, plenty of gription. These boots are well designed with quality materials. All and all this is a stylish, comfortable, and versatile boot that I highly recommend.
Measurements for 8.5m:
Heel to toe: 11" Shaft height: 7" Widest part of footbed: 4"
I love these boots. After the first couple of days of getting used to the negative heels, my lower back pain went away. I've stopped using most of the nice shoes in my closet, and have worn these or my Earth "Greta 2" clogs almost every day this winter. My girlfriends who have tried mine on have bought a pair for themselves. The quality is terrific. They are waterproof, warm, and leave wiggle room for my toes. I'm going to use these for years.
I purchased a pair of these boots several months ago. They have held up great and are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I will continue to purchase Earth Shoes. My back no longer hurts because of the unique design of the heel.
