Whey protein for cheap what is there to say.,
I got 6lbs from costco for 33 dollars. Don't buy it on amazon it's too pricey and plus you get it now/closer from costco.

Amazing in smoothies,
I use this twice a day in my smoothies, and it's wonderful. I'm not sure how well it blends with straight water for the hard core protein drinkers, but I use one scoop twice a day in my smoothie. Here's my recipe for a weight loss smoothie: 1/2 banana (frozen is best) 1/2 cup strawberries (frozen is best) 1 scoop protein powder 1/2 cup ice 3-6 oz. yogurt - any flavor Blend with kool-aid prepared with Stevia, crystal light, Stevia Bright, Orange Flavor, or juice until desired consistency. Here's my recipe for a weight gain smoothie: 1 banana 1 packet calcium fortified hot cocoa 1 scoop protein powder 1/2 cup ice 2 tablespoons of peanut butter 3-6 oz. vanilla yogurt Blend with soy milk until desired consistency. Very low calorie frothy beverage: 1/2 cup frozen strawberies 1 scoop protein powder 3 ice cubes blend with your favorite cold crystal light beverage Both of these smoothie recipes make a very large, meal-sized smoothie. Splitting it with a friend or a spouse makes sense if it's just a snack rather than a meal replacement. If you're just wanting the protein powder and need it to taste better, the last recipe is really good but very low calorie. This protein powder really helps me to control hunger and add a healthy start to my day. I have one for breakfast almost every day. I use the Oster BPST02-B Professional Series Blender, Black and it comes out just as smooth and delicious as if I bought it from the local smoothie shop.

EAS has a good reputation as a quality protein supplement. For me it boiled down to finding the best price for the quantity purchased and I found the best price by going through Amazon.

Great tasting, greater value.,
Bought a 5lb bag from Sam's Club for around $30. That comes out to about $0.40 cents per serving. These go great in smoothies or are also perfectly fine by itself. I wish they had other flavors than just vanilla and chocolate, but I'm not that picky and you can't go wrong for the price. The only downsides to this particular whey protein is that the cholesterol is slightly higher than other popular brands, which may be bad for those with high cholesterol. Also it contains the artificial sweetener surcralose, which I wouldn't prefer drinking. Other than that, this is a low-fat and low-carbohydrate protein perfect for those looking for the best value these days.

Bought mine at BJ (like a costco) and it is yummo! tastes just like a vanilla milkshake! I can't say i've tried it all but of the few that i have tried this one is the best! I don't usualy write reviews, but after looking online trying to find a good recovery formula aside from the expensive one promoted by p90x and what not. I finally ran into bjs and saw this and its price! 33 bucks! not to mention i wasn't barley as sore as i usually am after my insanity workouts! give it a try! but not on here go to your local costco or bjs!

I joined Sams club discount club solely because they used to stock this product.I am an avid gym nut, who is trying to gain muscle and weight. After researching various whey proteins for quality and price I settled on EAS. I love this stuff. I LOVE it It tastes great (vanilla yummmm.... choco not so much) Mixes great (dissolves faster in room temp fluid... cold fluid takes a min or two longer) And results I gained 40 lbs of muscle over 3 yrs, and very little fat. I gained 250 lbs on my bench, 300 lbs on my squat and deadlift. Unfortunately Sams club switched to muscletech (crap... tastes and smells horrible)... so ill have to bite it and pay a bit more for this stuff... but well worth it.

I don't use whey protein for weight gain. I know that's the most common use. Here is my story; When my wife was first diagnosed with cancer, our family doctor gave a little advice on nutrition. "Buy a bag of Whey Protein from Costco (they sold it then), and have it with some kind of mixed fruit and soy milk every morning." That was almost 5 years ago. My wife's cancer is never going to go into remission (due to the type), but she's still around and doing fine. Besides many other things we have changed in our diet and habits (and we added lots of prayer), I can say without hesitation that the advice my doctor gave was worthy of passing on. After many trial and errors of mixing this and that, I came up with the following recipe: (note, when you are not feeling well, the food you eat can often be disgusting and unpalatable. Usually this is due to strong flavors or sweetness. I try to keep the over-all flavor somewhat bland, but refreshing. I've found that even when she has a strong repulsion to eating food, this mix is still palatable. That's important to keep up strength when fighting a disease like cancer). In a blender, add: 1. ½ cup of EAS vanilla whey protein 2. 1 large hand full of frozen spinach (I buy fresh baby spinach from Costco and freeze it) 3. ½ cup of unsweetened frozen mixed berries (Kirkland brand from Costco) 4. ½ cup of unsweetened Soy Milk (add more as needed for smoothie blend) If the carton doesn't say unsweetened, it is sweetened. 5. ½ cup of cranberry juice (add more as needed) Mix until creamy and smooth This will give you at least 2, maybe 3 - 6 ounce glasses of a great smoothie. Since Costco stopped selling EAS, we have tried other brands. Yuck! They all have a strong phony taste. Tried to use the "Muscle Milk" they now sell, but boy, that stuff is bad tasting if you want a low flavor whey protein. There may be a little sugar in the EAS brand, but that's all the sweetness necessary in the smoothie I mix each and every day. |
