I bought Rugby 2005 today and i've played it non stop as it is awesome. It has lots of game modes such as practice,Super 12,Tri Nations,Six Nations, Ten Nations which is the Six & Tri Nations joined together and Argentina. The create a player mode is very good and you can put lots of detail in making your player or making any player you see fit to make from the past. The gameplay is a lot harder and it makes it more fun as there are no easy walk overs you have to earn all your points. More detailed control options give this great game even more realism. The graphics are absolutely outstanding and the stadiums as well as the players are moulded to their identical self as near as possible. This looks like they put a lot of their time and effort into this game and it certainly paid off big time. This is a must purchase for anyone interested in sport especially rugby. If I was to give this game a grade I would give it an A- as its awesome and it has so much to do in it. One thing maybe for the future is have some unlockables. As a passionate rugby supporter and player, this version was a huge improvemnt on the version released in 2004. It is extremely challenging. The graphics are also very good and it is obvious that time has been put into recreating world famous stadiums to the very last detail, as well as the teams around today.
I definately recommend this game for any person, interested in this sport.

As someone who has owned every so-called rugby game ever released, I have to say that EA has surpassed their own brilliance and given us the first rugby sim which captures the intensity and continuity of the sport. I had begun to doubt that it was possible to bring this complex sport to a gaming format but I was in owe when I saw the playability and realism that this game has to offer. In its genre there is no competition for this game and I hope the EA guys working on the new FIFA2006 has seen what can be done with a budget which is less than a tenth of theirs.
Whether you like rugby or live for it as I do, buy this game. You will not be disappointed!

THIS IS THE REAL DEAL!!! If you have a friend, loved one, associate or even know a random associate who is at all interested in Rugby, you owe it them and humanity to encourage them to get this game. Heck, buy it for them. For those who have played every other sport title and are looking for a unique sports sim to conquer, prepare for hours of enjoyment and challenge when you pick up Rugby 2005. This game combines realistic plays a variety of bone crushing hits and tackles and sizzling graphics and gameplay to make a complete package. Various game modes and players make this game a hit. Most sports titles get boring and even obsolete after a few weeks but Rugby 2005 will drag you back to your game console time and time again. If you don't believe me try it...better yet get the opinion of the rugby fan you get this title for.

I don't consider myself much of a sports fan in any stretch of the imagination what so ever, yet when I started watching Rugby on Universal Sports I seemed to be strangely drawn to it. Normally, I go for role playing, simulator and action adventure games like Subterrania and Ecco The Dolphin etc. Just for the heck of it I went on Amazon to see if a video game existed that captured the pace and realism of Rugby and I found this one at a very good price. It was more than I ever expected. EA Sports got all the detail from the commentators covering the game and players getting into disputes down to the logo zipping across the screen. After a while you feel like you're actually watching a real match. You also feel the tackles and kicks with the dual shock controller. It's like being in the game yourself, but a whole lot safer. I'd highly recommend this game to anyone who likes Rugby. You won't be disappointed.

This is the first Rugby game I've ever played. It's a pretty decent game but I recommend that you go through the tutorial section of this game which will show you how to play the game, it's rules, and all of it's controls which sometimes can be confusing unless you practice alot. The gameplay is decent and the graphics are okay (could be alot better). The commentators are okay also but you'll notice that they will start to repeat themselves alot (one seems to do alot more talking than the other). Maybe EA will take more time and energy into delveoping Rugby 2006? Unless you're a Die Hard Rugby fan, I'd stick with one of the other EA sport titles.
