Editorial Reviews

Review

...educates entry-level servers; those already in the business...a useful guide to skills and attitudes of professional service. -- The Server Foodservice News, November 2001

...not a bad investment for any restaurant looking to inject a bit of old-fashioned service sense into its staff. -- Denver Westword, January 3, 2002

From the Author

I couldn't have written a better endorsement for my book than this comment I received, via e-mail, from a professional server who ordered it: "I recently finished reading The Main Course on Table Service. I enjoyed its straightforward, 'commonsensical' approach to service. It reinvigorated me on waiting tables. I can't wait to put the training into action." - Dana, Valencia, CA

This book enlightened me to the world of waiting tables. It's a must for anyone in the restaurant business who waits on customers. Both waiters and customers as well will learn the insides of the restuarant serving business, with guidelines for service and tipping. Easy to read, this book is hard to put down. I recommend it heartily.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money, September 19, 2010
This review is from: EATiQuette's the Main Course on Table Service: Skills & Tips for Becoming a Confident Efficient Professional Server (Paperback)
What a waste. People will try to make a buck on anything.
Common sense being packaged and sold. Antiquated ideas the writer is probably in his 90's. I should not have wasted my hard earned money.
Better to read Bruce Buschel's "100 Things Restaurant Staffers Should Never Do" Online.
