It isn't made very well.

It does have cheap white zip ties or strips of plastic to install and you cannot get it tight enough to keep it from sliding around.

VW's failed visor design was way to short to deflect sun glare.

Ordered this for my wife who is short and has trouble with glare in the car. Package arrived and consisted of some cheap plastic. The product attaches to the car's visor through the use of some even cheaper plastic ties that you have to thread through some holes. Don't believe the picture on the page, it does not show the ugly plactic ties.

Problem is getting the product to attach tightly enough to the car visor. Everytime we try and use the extended visor we have to hold it with one hand and then pull out the extensions with the other.

Also, the parts don't fit that well so sometimes the see through pull down visor gets stuck when you try and push it back up.

When you get it in place it does block the sun, maybe I expected too much for $8?

Boy! Is this a cheap piece of plastic, or what? It comes with some straps to tie it to your visor! Just lovely! You can't ever get the straps tight enough to really hold it in place on your visor. The parts are so loose that whenever you pull out the side extender, the vertical shade drops down! It's not worth sending back because I paid $4.98 to have it shipped here.

Save yourself some frustration and spend your $7.98 on something else!

This has worked well except the vertically sliding sunglass part is useless, and interferes with the horizontal part. I discard the sunglass so that the sliding horizontal black strip can be easily reached with the hand pressing against it instead of having to pinch a small end protruding from the frame.
This simple frame is worthwhile at this vendor's low price, but could so easily be fabricated at home from cardboard or whatnot, it is not worth paying much more for. There is a convenience value in it, besides the cost of materials needed to make one custom.
The main use I see is for the side window, where ordinary visors are not long enough to reach behind a tall driver with the seat pushed back, or maybe all drivers. The window is longer and setting sun will glare badly through the uncovered area.

Long vanished Oldsmobile initially specified a sliding extension built into the visor on their Alero model, even included it in the manual, but withdrew it. Perhaps there are regulatory issues, maybe safety construction of the visor. They seem awfully bulky for just a shading device. Building in vanity mirrors and even light switches certainly complicates them.

Well.... it's rather flimsy, but then again it didn't cost much. So, what can you expect? The real question is, does it work. I bought this visor extension for my wife's car, as she's driving into the sun going and coming from work. I put it on the passenger side visor and she's able to use it to block most of the sun the regular visor misses. However, as she says, "it's difficult to see through, but better than looking into the sun." Bottom line, I would say as long as your expectations of this product are realistic, you'll be satisfied with your purchase. It should be noted that I also bought another type visor extension for my wife's driver side visor. They both function differently, but together do the job.

The product is flemsy and when you pull out side extender the bottom extender also comes out. The bottom will not stay in place unless the side extender is not being used. Would shop around for something more substantial.

Yeah, like most of the other reviews said - it works very well. Only two fairly small drawbacks: It's kinda cheap/cheesy -since it attaches with what amounts to two zipties, it looks a little cheap - but who's gonna be looking closely enough to notice that? The other thing is, the opaque shield that pulls down: It will NOT stay up, even if you want it up, then the horizontal one is pulled out left or right, because the "nub" isn't large enough to engage the detent without the added "filled space" of the horizontal shield. I'm sure this could be easily remedied with some tape or what not. It's not that big of a deal, though, because 8 times out of 10 when you want the horizontal one slid out, you also want this bottom/vertical one to be "deployed", or at least don't care if it is. Good product in this age of brutal summers (gee, thanks, global warming).

Ok so it is a little janky and rattly, BUT, when the sun blasts you in your left eye and the Honda Fit Visor does nothing to stop it the little extender section works like a champ! It ain't parrty, but it works great!

I had to remove the tint from my windows, and could not adjust to the sun hitting the side of my face on the commute to work. I love this product. it works wonders. shields the sun from my face.
