I was looking around for a more durable and comfortable pair of shoes to replace my old pair since the outer soles in the heel area was being worn out tremendously. I have overpronated feet and suffer from back pain and my old shoes did not provide enough support. I did some research and stumbled across ECCO which received many positive reviews from customers. I decided to purchase these pairs and after wearing them for a while, I can agree that ECCOs are truely wonderful shoes! You can tell the quality of the leather and craftmanship right out of the box. I've been wearing these shoes for 3-4 months, 5 days a week to work and have noticed it has reduced my back pain and the soles are not worn out at all! On top of that, the shoes look great! I personally wear these for work only, but these can also be worn out casually. These are definitely worth every penny, even better if you can find them cheaper!

Note**
There was a mention about ECCO soles disintegrating upon contact with water due to a chemical reaction with the materials used to make the soles. I believe they problem was called hydrolysis? Anyhow, I've worn these out through the rain numerous times and have not experienced any of that so I think its safe to say ECCO has fixed that problem.

These shoes have made me an ECCO loaylist. I have a lot of trouble with my feet and I'm often in pain wearing any shoe. Not so with these. I wear dress shoes every day for work, and these have done wonders. They're honestly like wearing a good running shoe. Beyond that, the leather is beautiful, and the craftsmanship is fantastic. No signs of wear and tear even though I wear these most of the week, every week. Just take good care of them, they'll last as long as a good pair of Allen Edmonds. I highly recommend these shoes, and if you need a comfortable dress shoe, ECCO has it.

I am a big fan of Ecco shoes in general, but in the past the styling was always a little clunky. Comfort is always important especially on business trips, but you can't wear most of the older styles with a suit. The Barcelona has a great fit, a wide toe box and contemporary styling that has just enough traditional feel to wear in a business environment and with dressy jeans. When I go on a trip and only want to take one pair of shoes these are the ones. I just have to pick between brown and black (you must have your favorite shoes in two colors right?). These are every bit as comfortable as their more clunky looking counterparts. Perfect for hoofing it around Manhattan, Airports etc. I hate to pay full price for anything, put these are a good value at full price.
