Ahhhh! Comfort without bulk!,

I purchased these shoes at Dillards a few weeks ago. They were confortable right out of the box, with a very smooth inside lining and cushioned sole. They do not have that clunky bulky look that most comfort shoes have. These are quite refined and attractive. I had never worn Ecco shoes before and the price of $120 was a little intimidating for casual shoes, but these are worth every penny. I intend to buy another pair of these and possibly try the new suede ballerina that has just come out. The size of 39 which is 8 to 8.5 was perfect as was the width. Nice shoe, Ecco!!

I purchased this shoe 6 months ago and love them. They were comfortable right our of the box. These shoes have a nice simple design. No clunky heels or weird stitching. I wear them almost everyday to work and do my daily work walk in them. I planning on purchasing another pair.

Great shoe, but the Bouillon FLAT by Ecco may be even better ...,

When I purchased my first Ecco Bouillon Mary Jane over a year ago (I now own four pairs), I thought I had found the perfect shoe. It had the comfort of a sneaker combined with the femininity of a ballet flat. Read on for the one issue I have found with this style...
FIT: The sizing is true EU; my US 11 required an EU 42. The width is a true medium. I found the style comfortable right out the box, despite a small bunion. MAKE: The upper and the lining are leather. The sole is rubber (with a good grip to it) with an inch heel, well hidden. The elevation improves the overall walking comfort. The leather wears well, the colors are lovely, just like in the photos (there are more available then pictured here; the red patent is particularly pretty). PROBLEM: if there is a problem with this style, it would be the strap. I had to return two pairs when the little button came off. It is attached to the shoe via a thin strip of rubber. According to my cobbler, it is not repairable, once it comes off. Also, the strap does not give all that much. If your feet happen to swell for any reason (time of the month, etc.) the strap compounds the problem. Since my feet are on the wider side to begin with, the strap free design of the Bouillon FLAT by Ecco became the much better option for me. Once again, not a bad shoe, though not a five star item, unlike its sister, the Bouillon FLAT.

Adorable shoe, runs a bit large,
This review is from: ECCO Women's Bouillon Mary Jane (Apparel)
I purchased these shoes for a ridiculously low price (was only offered in one color, which happened to be the color that I wanted!). They are adorable and comfortable, but I would have to say they run a bit large. I ordered a 38 because I normally wear a 7 or 7.5, depending on the shoe, but I really think I could've gone with a 37. No problem, though - I'll just add an insole!
While these are comfy, I have to say they're not quite as comfy as my Merrells and my Clark's for walking (I walk about 6 blocks to see my son at daycare everyday at lunch), but they're not too bad. Also, they look nice with both work and casual clothes, IMO.

Great shoes but flawed design,
This review is from: ECCO Women's Bouillon Mary Jane (Apparel)
I really liked these shoes when I bought them. They look good for a comfortable pair of shoes, and you can easily walk around in them for long periods of time. The only problem is that the button on the side is attached to the shoe with a pretty flimsy piece of elastic. In my case less than a year after purchase the elastic came loose and the button popped off. At that point the shoes were useless (unless you're willing to spend extra money to get them repaired - which was not cheap). Let's hope Ecco creates a better shoe with an actual buckle next time.

Nice shoe, but hurts my foot,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

The purchasing process went smoothly, the shoe is very attractive, but the left shoe hurts my foot just where the curve of the opening at the front of the shoe meets the top of my foot-with or without socks, although it is somewhat better with socks. I don't know whether this is a problem with the shoe design or if my foot simply is not suited to this design. I am looking for a shoe that can be used for extensive walking while traveling but will look nice with either slacks, jeans or a dress/skirt.
