I have very flat feet and bouts of plantar fasciitis, so I need a boot that will accommodate my orthotics and provide support of its own as well. I am also on the short side (5'3), so tall boots are often too tall. The ECCO Bremen boot was a real find. The shape and heel height make it dressy enough to wear with skirts and dress pants, but not so high that you sacrifice comfort. These are very well-made, beautiful suede and fully lined, so my legs stay warm and feel 'wrapped up'. The top of the boot shaft hits just below my knee - still a little big for a shortie, but most should like the length. The buckle at the top allows you to adjust the width for a perfect fit. I bought one size up from my usual shoe size to make room for my orthotics, which was just right. No problems with pain in my feet, nice stability and cushion from the boot itself. One note: I did spray these with suede protector when I got them. These should last a long time!

This boot is very elegant, leather is soft and the wear is comfortable. No breaking in needed. I wish I could afford another pair. The heal is perfect!

Beautiful suede and perfect height. Despite being a wide size 7 I ordered the 37 (6-6.5) as other reviews mentioned heving to go down a size. As a size 7 normally corresponds to a 37, this made sense. A little narrow for me but I do have a wide foot, a little long, and not much support at all so they will have to stretch slightly before I can fit a decent insert. The only other small complaint I have is that the expansion section doesn't go down the calf far enough. My calves are 15 inches and the boots fit well along this expansion section but are a bit tight just under the start of the expansion fold. Nothing that some slight stretching with wear won't fix. So, on the whole very good, not perfect, but for the price I bought them for ($69.95) well worth it.
