These boots are very comfortable and attract looks and compliments. Side straps can be adjusted to change with around ankle and calf. I walk a lot and the boots feel great.

These are very comfortable and true to size. They are a nice leather boot and not too tight around the calf. Great to wear all day

I love all ECCO shoes/boots! I have flat feet and have worn orthotics for most of my adult life. I have at least 6 pairs of ECCO shoes or boots at any one time, and I can not have enough of them. I've tried to go a bit cheaper and buy hush puppies or naturalizers, but even those brands seem to end up hurting my feet, and they are generally more poorly made and kind of ugly.

These Esmeraldas were supposed to be my Fall 2010 boot purchase for the 2011 winter season. Generally I'm a size 40 EU in all ECCO shoes (without orthotics). With my orthotics, I usually go to a size 41 (my orthotics are custom made and really thick) and I was so excited when I saw these boots on amazon for a much cheaper price than the boots being sold at the ECCO stores (about a $100 difference). When they came in however, they were huge! My feet and calves were swimming in them and they did not fit even with my orthotics in.

I'm not able to write a fair review because the boots didn't fit and weren't available in the 40's for me to try. I had to return them (which was very easy to do through amazon) and though they seemed of high quality and had potential to be comfortable, there's no way of me knowing. The only thing I can say was that they looked nice (not as stylish as other models I've bought but I liked the suede/leather fusion going on) and the price was dead-on. I only wish more sizes were available.

Great boots for winter - sloshed through NYC streets and they still look great. They are lined and are warm. Solid heel makes for sure footing (and give those of us on the short side a little height without worrying about slipping). Shoe area has plenty of room for inserts too!

Well this boots are a little bit below knee. I personally wear jeans and fold it in it. It's comfortable, everyday and beautiful item :)
