5.0 out of 5 stars My Cats Loves This Stuff
I sought out this product after my 15 year old cat suffered a near fatal liver infection. During the recover process (after all the medicine that was prescribed by our vet was taken), we started using Vetri-DMG.
She has had no relapses and acts like a new cat. It works so well she actually begs for it each night. I'll have to add video proof later. Great stuff!

3.0 out of 5 stars Seems like it works....
I bought this product and have been giving it to my furry children (Cats). Not sure if it is helping them, but I am hoping it gives them some nutritional value that will help them in the long run.

I would encourage everyone interested in this product to research it and see the amazing scientific properties that have been proven about DMG. Commonly used in horses DMG is now making it's way into the dog and cat sector and this is wonderful. To keep this review short I will say we had a feline leukemia cat that had crashed. Liver shakes and DMG were the last chance medical advice given by a holistic vet as all other vets wanted to put him down as he had a crit level (red cell count) of like 8, 7 being really the lowest you can go.. My daughter was not ready to lose her cat and he was not in pain so we tried the holistic way and were amazed. The cat rebounded and gained back his strength and was his old self again which was amazing. Unfortunately he did develop lymphoma 4mths later but when they checked his red cell count it was NORMAL! They were amazed and wanted to know what had done to conquer the low count and we told them about the DMG and how it helps cats with this disease. They use this treatment now on all positive cats and I always have a bottle on hand in my home for my pets should they become ill or have any infections etc. This stuff is simply incredible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reduces Seizure Activity, November 11, 2011

This review is from: ECONOMY SIZE Vetri-DMG Liquid (3.85 oz) (Misc.)
I began using the DMG liquid supplement as a treatment for a bird suffering from a remittent-relapsing seizure disorder... The results within the first month of the trial are encouraging! Even a full-blown molt, which always triggered a relapse prior to DMG supplementation, has resulted in no seizure activity...

Now, the patient and beloved family member described, is also given Phenobarbital as a maintenance drug, but this by itself was never enough when a molt hit... In fact, we were resorting to corticosteroids during these periods, which have not been necessary since starting the DMG Protocol. And, we've been able to reduce the Phenobarbital dosage.

The recommended dose of DMG for birds is 5 mg per 100 grams of body weight, twice daily as a loading dose for two weeks. When the loading dose is complete, the maintenance dose is 5 mg per 100 grams of body weight, divided into two doses, given a.m. and p.m.

There is a wide latitude of safety in dosing DMG, so rounding numbers is not an issue. Also, the dropper that came with our DMG from Amazon.com dispenses 6 mg of the supplement instead of the recommended 5 mg, but given the inherent safety of the supplement, we simply ignored that 1 mg difference... At any rate, we're impressed!

You can read more about the benefits of DMG if you Google Margaret A Wissman, DVM and DMG. As far as price, Amazon.com offered the best deal on DMG we were able to find! If you or a friend has an animal companion suffering from a seizure disorder, you need to know about this!
