I found the GoPro suction cup mount allowed for X & Y axis adjustment, no problem, but tilt could not be compensated for when mounting on say, an automobile's windscreen.

This EEEKit mount, however, obviously has a ball-and-socket adjustment point. Perfect!!!

Now that I have it, it's *close* to perfect, but the slot which allows for almost 90 degree movement is located in an odd position when the ball-and-socket is screwed on to the suction cup base. I'm pretty certain this can be properly clocked, at least how I want it, with an O-ring or a really thin metal washer. I subtracted one star because of the threads being cut in such a manner that the cutout for the ball-and-socket is at a random position. Were it at 12 or 6, then it was likely planned, but this one isn't...it's at about 2 o'clock, which screams random.

Regardless, for $18 less than the less-flexible GoPro mount, I'm plenty happy!

When I come up with a solution for the ball-and-socket orientation, I'll update my review.

edit: I have found THE SOLUTION!!! The Ram mount. Yes, it's more expensive, and for VERY good reason. It's incredibly flexible in mounting options.

This is a nice accessory for your GoPro. I was quite happy with the quality and strength of the suction cup mount. However, after just one use the tripod mount crumbled, making the whole thing useless. I've contacted the company for a replacement, but have not yet heard anything. If this piece was a bit higher quality, I would say this is a great value.

Edit: They quickly and with no hassle replaced the tripod mount. After doing some research it seems that it may have been my fault it crumbled (I put loctite in an attempt to stop it spinning on the threads, which disintegrates ABS apparently).

The suction cup seems fine. The gopro mount piece that goes to the tripod connector seems fine. But the swivel ball adjustment is very week. Mine doesnt seem to clamp down like it should. It is very easy to swivel it around while it is at its tightest setting.

Mount was ok, the locking screw loosens up on its own, the threaded base also cracked on first use. not high quality, but it works for the price

For eight bucks this suction cup mount can't be beat! I have this one and GoPro's (for which I paid a hefty $40). I haven't used GoPro's since this one arrived. Why? First, this one is smaller, a cup diameter of only 2-1/2" vs. GoPro's 3-3/8", and thus it's easier to store in my Pelican case and easier to work with in tight quarters. Second, and I REALLY like this, it has a ball mount that allows for almost limitless adjustment with the twist of a knob! The world is not linear, so with most camera mounts we have to go through all kinds of gymnastics to get the camera lined up right. With this mount -- problem solved!

If I'm ever invited to test drive an Indy or Formula One car I'll probably use my GoPro suction mount. Why take chances, right? But so far I haven't found anything that that one will adhere to that this one won't. I even stuck this on my freezer door and hung a 5 lb. Olympic barbell weight from it to see what would happen. Five hours later it was still there and I figured I'd seen enough.

I have not experienced any of the ball-mount stability problems other reviewers mention. I agree the thumbscrew feels like it's lighter weight than it should be. I keep waiting for it to snap as I over-torque it. But appearances apparently are deceiving because it continues to take my abuse. Besides, if it breaks I'll just buy a new one. I can get 3,4, or even 5 for the price of GoPro's.

The design / function of this product is not bad. It does turn 360 degrees without effort (which is what I was looking for). When tightening and loosening I found there is a small spring in the shaft connecting to the base which turned on its side and kept the swivel from staying tight. That was an easy fix.

The major contributing factor of rating this only 2 stars is the suction cup. It took me awhile to get it to stay on without falling off my windshield while driving down gravel roads (not bumpy roads, just standard country roads). The other factor is that fact that the plastic they used for the suction cup is subpar (to be polite). I had it on my windshield for all of 6 days when I came out to find the plastic had melted and infused itself with my windshield. Needless to say, I will be finding a different product.

I've had this GoPro kit for a couple of months and for the money you just can't go wrong. It's not as solid or durable as GoPro's suction cup mount but you can get this one for a fraction of the cost. I bought this kit for the tri-pod mount and as a backup to GoPro suction mount and use them equally. It's money well spent, just don't expect the GoPro durability as it is inferior.

But, the holes don;t line-up well with the Go Pro Camera. You really have to mess with it to line-up.

The mount is good. Careful no to over tighten seems like it would be easy to strip, but mine has not. The suction cup on the first one melted away from the window. It was quickly replaced by the seller. The second one seems fine so far. Great seller. Super easy and quick to work with.

Works well and at a great price. I wouldn't use it to mount outside of a car etc. I used it to put on the body of an acoustic guitar and it worked well!
