We first bought this from our vet at her recommendation. It has done wonders for our dog's coat. She was a shelter dog, and appeared to have been malnourished before we got her. After a few months, she had bulked up to a healthy weight, but her coat was still shedding too much, and was a little uneven (soft and thin in most places, longer and oily down her back). After a few weeks of Eva-Z, she has a beautiful, thick, soft coat; and her shedding has significantly decreased. The bottle we bought here was half the cost and twice the amount of the one we bought from the vet!

I have used this product for several years on my dog and it has done a great job on his skin. It's not perfect but nothing is, I would recommend this product to others to help keep their pets skin healthy.

I used EFA-Z years ago for my Irish Setter and her skin was moist and her fur was beautiful, it just shined in the sun! I now have a bulldog mix and his skin is dry and he sheds too much. I started using EFA-Z about 3-4 weeks ago and his skin is much less dry and not shedding much at all. It does not work overnight, so don't expect results right away. It takes a few weeks to work, but it works great. You must keep giving it to the animals, though, as soon as you stop, the skin becomes dry again. It is a little pricey, especially if you have large dogs, but it is the only stuff that I know of that works!

I orginially ordered this via my vet, however, with times being as they are and the product working as well as it does with my dog. I started searching the web, not wishing to give up a good product. I came across Entirely Pets and have ordered ever since. This arrives fast and packaged wonderfully. Thank you so much!! This works great!!

We have been using Virbac EFA-Z Plus for 8 months. Our Shetland Sheepdog would at least twice a year develop a skin condition on his under belly and between his paws. With a vet recommendation we started using this product and our Sheltie has not had another outbreak. Time will tell but by now he would have had another otbreak. He tolerates the taste and eats all his food. He eats dry kibble.

I've used this off an on here in Albuquerque as the winters are brutally dry. It takes a few weeks, but this does a decent job of reducing their dry skin. I recommend it.

Great product that keeps my dog's coat shiny! It is very economical...I paid the same price for an 8 oz bottle from my vet! I will be back for more!

This was recommended for my cat's coat and it is has really made a difference. EFA-Z plus is the best product I have used to restore my cats coat.

I purchased this product from this supplier just before Christmas. I have real concerns about the quality of the product. It made my dog very sick every time I gave it to him. Bearing in mind that he has been taking it for the last year I know it wasnt a sensitivity to the product that was causing the problem. The product was in date but I think that there must have been something wrong with it. I am very interested to read in the reviews that someone else had issues too.

I have a 4 year old American Eskie/yellow lab mix. One day I noticed that he was getting tickle spots on his stomach, where he had never had them before. Then I started noticing that he would have areas with scabby or scaly skin on his stomach and legs. At first, I thought he had gotten into ants or poison ivy or something, until his lips started to swell and crack. Then, at the base of his eyes, where the tear gland is, he began to lose the hair there and would scratch it until it bled. Also, he was shedding like a maniac, his fur was always dry, and he was constantly licking at his paws.

Well, my first thought was allergies. So I started him on Benedryl, which helped a little at first. I also stopped all treats, greenies, and changed his food to a grain free variety. It just got worse. I was ready to take him into the vet when I decided to spend some time on the internet to see what I could find. What I discovered was a disorder called zinc deficient dermatitis. It is something very prevalent in the artic breeds, like the Eskie. The recommended treatement was a zinc suppliment with Omega oils. I was originally going to go with the ones that were dog treats, but the shipping on those were as much as the product and this product was available for prime shipping at the time.

There are two things I must point out -

1. This does not work overnight. My dog has been on this now, daily, for over a month and things are just now starting to clear up. However, when they do start to clear up, it seems to get much better quickly. I saw a little change about the second week in, where his lips were not swelled up so much, but it was about 5 weeks before the skin conditions started clearing up and the fur started growing back. He still has a way to go, but the difference between week 5 and into week 6 is amazing.

2. This stuff is vanilla flavored. Really? For a dog, you went with vanilla? My dog wouldn't touch it, he would eat around it. I solved it by buying meat flavored dog vitamin gravy or the little packets of small dog moist food with gravy, and would mix a little in with this product on his dry food. It works like a charm. One little meal packet lasted for three of his meals, I only put in enough to moisten the dry food. But still, VANILLA?

In addition, his fur has become soft and healthy and he seems to have more energy than before. The shedding decreased drastically. Yes he still sheds, so this is not a miracle cure all for shedding, but it has at least decreased by 2/3rds.

I have already ordered 2 more bottles of this - he will have to have it for the rest of his life, but it saved me thousands in vet bills.

Oh, also for the first month, you can increase the dose by 1 or 2 pumps. My dog would normally get 4 pumps on his food, but I have done 6. Now that he is healing up, I am dialing it back to 4. If the symptoms get worse, I will up it a pump.

If you have an artic breed dog/mix and have these kind of symptoms, research the zinc deficiency thing. I had never heard of it and would have never thought about it - but it is real.
