Gary Craig has been deeply interested in personal improvement through psychology from an early age. He is the originator of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). Gary is a Stanford engineering graduate, a Certified Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming, and trained in other forms of Energy Psychology.

a very interesting and effective process, as a retired therapist I was intrigued by EFT in general.
I understood energy work, and I knew 20 years ago that a new process was occuring, at that time it was like the invention of the wheel, a very new beginning and a long way to go. Of course saying "energy" makes it sound like voodoo or new age, but really it's the incorporation of physics in the healing process. Most of medicine and healing arts are based on biochemistry this is a different course, science has long neglected or underplayed the "electrical" components of the human body.
Some day we will look back on our present day medical practices and think it's primitive, just like we today look at blood letting as primitive.

The book helped in using the process, good instructions, easy to follow.
BTW lost 25 lbs in few weeks with very little effort and no feelings of deprivation. (I've been dieting for the last 15 years with very little success, lost 10 gained 15, and so on and so on).
Got a long way to go, so time will tell if it's sustainable. So far so good.

I have been using EFT for some time now and it has helped tremendously for backaches, stiff necks, anxiety, depression, nausea, stubbed toe and much more. I had been working on my weight issue using each and every newsletter I could get my hands on where I'd find one article here, one there. I have been eagerly awaiting Gary Craig's book which was to have everything in one place - one book. I have NOT been disappointed. I am currently working on my issues with the numerous tips and tricks he shares along with those of many of his EFT professionals who have shared case studies, and am extremely hopeful. The nice thing about this book is that it is not only for weight loss -- all kinds of other issues can benefit as well! Thank You, Gary Craig!!!! I highly recommend this book to anyone with ANY issue.

Great book that helps with an amazing number of issues to do with weight loss. Not only have I lost weight so far, but more importantly I am more hopeful about reaching my goal and staying there, than I ever have been before!

This book has completely changed my life. I do not exaggerate!
I have battled with my weight since I was a young teenager, and I have been yo-yo dieting for the past 15 years with no long term success. I have followed well-balanced, well known weight-loss programs with great temporary success, losing anywhere from 30 to even 100 pounds. The problem was, I was only ever treating the symptom - the weight - by using willpower alone. That worked in the short term, but by the end of December 2011 I was almost back to my highest weight ever and I was nearly hopeless about ever achieving and maintaining a healthy weight for the long term.
I came across this book and all I can say is WOW! I have been working on my tapping using the examples in this book, and I have found a couple of web resources (Ellie Steele has some great youtube videos). My whole attitude towards food is changed, and it's been almost effortless. Instead of eating emotionally, I truly enjoy eating healthy food; eating junk food and too much alcohol has essentially lost its appeal. The miracle is, I'm not just waiting for some day when I think I can eat those foods again - I don't even want to eat them ever again! Anyone who has been in my position knows how profound that is.
I've had to switch to gluten free eating in the midst of all this, and the transition has been so smooth - I think in large part due to disconnecting my emotional attachment and blockages relating to my old favorite foods. I've lost 23 pounds since January, and while I have at least 45 more to lose, I have every confidence that I will get there and that I won't ever have to lose those pounds again.

This is the perfect book for anyone who is struggling with controlling their eating, and anyone who wants to help others. It is an easy book to read and understand. If you are new to EFT, you will find all of the information you need to get started.

The book is logically laid out in the following 7 sections:

* Getting Started with EFT
* Tapping Away Cravings
* EFT for Food Addictions
* Getting the Results You Want
* Exploring Underlying Issues
* Eliminating Resistance
* Eating Disorders

The first section gives a detailed explanation of EFT and how to use it. The remaining sections give you background information on each topic followed by several examples of exactly how to use it for that topic. Most of these are real case problems written by EFT expert practitioners like Dr. Carol Look and Dr. Carol Solomon, who are experts on addictions. This book is pure informational content with no fluff or filler.

The information is complete enough for a therapist while being easily understood and used by a novice. The key to the success of EFT is that it addresses the underlying cause of emotional eating. My belief is that anyone who eats more than they need is an emotional eater. I have been using EFT for 10 years, after first being trained in hypnosis and NLP. EFT is now my first choice of methods for helping people make positive changes.

I have had the opportunity to attend Gary Craig's training in person and he is a wonderful teacher and great humanitarian. His sole purpose for all of his work is to help others be successful.
