This is the second Eheim Jager 200W heater I purchased, however it was slightly different from the first one. This second one I am guessing is from an older production run. The two heaters are ever so slightly different and I don't feel like taking them out of my tank to compare the model numbers. My first heater which I believe is slightly newer was perfectly accurate out of the box. The second one was off by a few degrees and I needed to calibrate it. But that's what's so nice about these heaters. You can adjust them so the numbers on the heater correspond to the actual temp of water. I've only had them for a couple months but I feel they are doing a much better job than the Marineland Stealth heaters they replaced (Not to mention I feel better that the Eheim's are less likely to explode). The only downside is that they are very long.
