I got the "small" model. The corner radius isn't 1/8", and it isn't exactly 1/4"; it is really more like 3/16" (excellent for my purpose).

The trick to getting a perfect corner cut is to look at it from the back and align the paper properly in the cutter. After a little practice it's easy. This way you can avoid getting the unsightly "step" effect at the edge of the corner cut.

This is a good value at today's price ($6.76). It definitely beats the Fiskars brand corner cutter that I got from Michael's. However I suspect that there may be manufacturing variations between units from any manufacturer, so your results will depend on if you happen to get a "good" one or not.

I'm giving this product four stars because there's no measurement on the packaging. Otherwise it's a great little punch for the price. It turned out to be 1/4", and larger than I was looking for. I didn't find that out until I had opened the package and could no longer return it. I bought it with the intent to use it on tarot cards, which another reviewer finds it great for. I think it's just a bit big once the tarot cards are made so much smaller by the removal of the borders.

If you need a 1/4" corner rounder, this is the one for you!

This is a great corner rounder. The size is hard to find, and is good for playing cards, business cards, and anything that you want to have a smaller radius rounded corner. It delivers a solid, strong cut even through wood veneer or through several sheets of paper. I own an X-acto corner rounder, and this one is much stronger and easier to use.

The only problem is that the die is shaped in such a way that if you're not careful, you can easily accidentally snag the corner you're trying to round, resulting in a uncorrectable jagged corner.

I bought this thinking I could use it for my design work, presentations, etc. I'm lucky if I get a perfect corner 1 out of 4 tries. There's almost always a rough spot or something that is unrepairable unless you recut it. It cuts fine, just tough to get it aligned perfectly in the 90° so you don't end up with odd little edges. Maybe had it been larger so you could really wedge the corner up in there, it would be more accurate. I'll keep messing with it, but until now, not a fan...

Perfect size to create custom playing cards and rounded business card corners. I'm a graphic designer and I use this on my custom cards. I also just used it to make custom playing cards as party favors for a friend. It's a very solid piece, heavy enough duty for regular personal use.

Like many of you out there, I was looking for a 'small' radius corner rounder for hobby use and found myself frustrated with the selection at the local craft stores - either the selection was all 1/2" radius or larger (or some patterned corner) or the selection was limited to rounders that were obviously suited only for single sheets of lightweight paper..

I needed a rounder that would consistently cut through doubled-over cardstock and laminated pages. So far, this rounder seems to be up to the task, with out having to push so hard, (on many others, I felt like I was going to break the product I had to push so hard). I will try to ammend this review as the cutter ages and when I've worked with a larger variety of materials, but so far, so good for a sub-ten dollar cutter.

The Pros (so far): this has a fairly heavy die/punch that seems to handle thick stock cleanly (no sticking or fuzzy corners yet)

The Cons: This cutter has no catching apparatus for the off cuts, so be ready with something to catch all those corners(!) also, this one (as mentioned elsewhere) can be a little tricky to align, so that you dont end up with that 'scalloped' corner look or with a clear notch on one or both edges. After some practice, you can began to get a feel for this and cut more consistently ... but I won't lie ... you will still get the occasional odd cut, even after being deliberate with each cut - thin papers tend to tuck/roll/bend a little during the cut and therefore lose their alignment.

A brief note: since this has no catcher underneath, it does allow you to visibly align the cut by turning it over, which helps ... I also noticed that the die has a small cattch in the inside corner that is designed to hold the square corner of the paper ... this helps with alignment, but as stated earlier, your results will vary with the stock you use.

This is the 'small' radius, which seems to be in the 1/4" (5mm) range altough I don't think it specifically says on the packaging, it only has a diagram indicating the size. I use these to make game cards, its not really small enough for my purposes (I need 1/8") but it makes a nice corner for the price and is WAY better than the alternatives.

I hope this helps you in your decision, I tried to answer all the questions I wanted answered when I was looking for a hobby-grade rounder.

OVERALL: Best sub $10 cutter I have bought, period ... no thin metal cutter that jams or sticks frequently and so far it seems to handle thick materials whilc maintaining a crisp cut ... will follow up with a report after heavy use.

This works like a dream. No sharp paper corners are safe from my wrath.

I will note that the rounded corners made with this aren't as "sharp" as the corners on playing cards and credit cards.

It doesn't matter to me, but it may matter to some.

This corner punch does what it's supposed to. It fortunately includes a corner guide so the corner is centered perfectly, but take care to insert and hold the corner carefully as it's easy for it to wiggle just enough to mess up the edge.

I've wanted a corner rounding punch for years. I'm so glad I finally got one. This one was the right right price and I'm happily rounding the edges the small drawings I do.

This works very well at first. But it gets dull very quickly and bends the corner back instead of trimming it. I would not purchase this product again.
