not great for flies unless you can anticipate their course of flight, because they are among the fastest pests you will encounter. tip for flies, swing faster. works great for spiders, and wasps, an other slow moving bees. even better for moths. WARNING: put up an hide when young guests visit, or anyone under the influence of ANYTHING, including a case of something to prove. this device is effective at what it is designed to do, with good batteries, flashlight type. CATION: when you use near light bulbs. with new batteries electricity can arch 3 inches. amazing product, great price, firm plastic construction.

This was a great purchase. I just love hearing and seeing those little bugs get zapped and fall to the ground. Bwwwahahahahahahahaaaaa! 1500 volts works wonders - be sure not to touch the screen, it WILL give you a pretty good jolt!

Yes, this product does work. Nats sometimes fly right through because of there size, and flies are hard to catch because of how bulky the swatter is. When you actually make contact it kills them dead, and if they are big enough they start to burn as well.

Awkward to use. Too heavy and thick. I had a lighter weight one prior that took AA batteries and liked it better. The flies keep escaping because I can't get it close enough because of the bulkiness. I think 1500 volts is "overkill"
