This was a good buy even though the shipping cost was high. It works like it is supposed to. The seller has good communication. I would recommend this item to anyone that lives in an old house.

This tester does work as described. My biggest complaint with this tester is the size of the ground prong. In really old outlets and outlets that have been painted, it is a real struggle to plug this in. It is also very difficult to use it in the new style tamper resistant receptacles. You get what you pay for. I would probably spend the extra 2 bucks to get the name brand tester if I had it to do over again.

It does what it is supposed to do. What more can be asked? This little jig showed me that the electricians who installed my receptacles had mishandled the installation. I was able to put the power, ground and return wires in the correct positions.

obviously these things do no more than test outlets. They do it well and they don't break the bank. I would recommend a non contact voltage tester to go with this and you will have all your testing needs covered.

I ordered three of these testers, and they all work fine, with no problem
with the ground pin being to large.
Tested all my buildings, and all came up good except one garage that was built before
I purchased the property, and like so many garages, was sparsely (DIY) wired by who knows
who/whom, and it tests all over the place even though I have had no problems with the service
in this garage.

The quickest most positive way to test the ground in your house instantly. Press a button and you'll prove GFI outlets work as they should. Great buy.

Have used it to replace my entire house from 2 prong to 3 prong outlets. This is a great tool and must-have in order to complete that work. Great product. Easy to use.
