This is a Christmas gift for my mom who lives in the senior apartment. She alway wants to have one in case of emergency. The package arrived 5 days after I ordered it, which is understandable considering it traveled 3k miles. I took it out and found a screw in the box. It turned out it's a corner screw and I was unable to put it back since the female part was torn out. But it's fine for emergency use. I don't want to send it back. The whole thing doesn't have much weight and feels like it's made of thin plastic. I cranked it for 100 strokes and turned on the flashlight and radio. Everything works well for about 5 minutes before the power totally went out. I didn't test the phone charger because it doesn't fit in my LG phone. But it should work with my mom's. The flashlight is not very useful since it only has one led bulb. Considering the quality, I only recommend it for emergency, definitely not for daily or even camping.

The radio is good and the AM or MW band is sensitive. I took mine apart to see who made it and I got a suprise at the PC board. This is the same PC board as the Grundig fr 200 windup radio and the scale looks almost the same as Grundig. I connected an outdoor antenna on the telescopic antenna and got good results with the short wave band. This radio is the same as the Grundig fr 200 but much cheaper and performs the same like a German radio. The only minus is the radio lacks a headphone jack but I can install one myself. Overall the radio is good and suprised with the radio. The FM or UKW band is not bad and gave decent results. The AM or MW band has good audio but that is due to wide bandwidth but not bad for a radio like this. This radio is better than some of the early multiband transistor radios of the 1960,s and 1970,s because it is more sensitive and the shortwave band with a outdoor antenna will pick up the distant lightning and I can hear CHU Canada time station loud and clear in the south!

After reading other reviews I was a little concerned, but for the price I figured it was worth the chance. Now I'm glad that I did. Everything works just as promised. However, it did not come with a 12v adapter to run it off of a car battery as promised, but that's no big deal. The crank works great! Definitely worth the money!

Nice for the price! Package arrived on time, and everything works. SW's will need a better antenna, to pick up stations better. Good deal!

Shipped fast. Good packaging. Radio construction is a bit flimsy. Guess its good for the price. Seems to function as advertised.

This was in the beginning a lovely surprise. Everything worked as advertised, the reception exceeded expectations and the speaker was quite acceptable. Then I planned to lie in bed and listen to it that evening as I do with my many other radios -wrong!! This radio has no earphone jack!! We looked everywhere and frantically searched the directions pages - this is the ONLY radio I own with no option for private listening. I am very disappointed because in other ways it was such a nice radio...

For the money, great item. This is NOT high end electronics here. This is a basic radio at a basic price. Feels solid, works great. Reception? -- As with all shortwave, that is always going to vary greatly.

With everything going on in the world today this is something that could prove invaluable. This is not the top of the line crank radio but for the money this is the best I have found. Ebay has the same radio for twice the price.
