a good book July 25, 2009
Format:Paperback
This a very readable book that covers food storage and other aspects of Emergency Preparedness such as bug out bags, field cooking and water purification. The chapter on water purification is one of the best I have read. This a good book for someone at any level of preparedness.

Well worth the money August 26, 2009
Format:Paperback
This is a great book!! As a mom I will be responsible for cooking all the food storage we have. I like how he gives you different ideas on how to cook using different fuels. One chapter even tells you how to make a solar oven for as little as $30.00 rather than spending hundreds. I will be trying that soon. That alone is worth the price of the book. Because what good is all your food storage if you cant cook it. I will keep this book were I can get to it in the event of an emergency. This book is full of great information.

Not quite what I expected. . . .
I was a bit disappointed in this book, as it proved to be pretty "simple". It contained a few good ideas, but it wasn't very "in depth".

Okay, but rather incomplete
I have a shelf full of disaster preparednes books, and this one is perfectly fine. The content is reasonable and presented in a straight forward manner. Read more

A well thought out book on how to prepare. Nothing earth shattering but it did point out some things that I had not thought of.
