Look people I would have given it less if it werent for the gobs of nudity. There was no story at all, no plot at all no nothing except nudity. How dare these people put this as an Emanuelle moveie!!! they should be ashamed! there was no Laura Gemser no Sylvia Kristal not even the chicks in the other ones. It [stupid] really except for the nudity I hated it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Uncut my ass!!!, August 18, 2005

First off I think Amazon screwed up. The movie's not 92 minutes, it 73. Almost a half an hour shorter.
Alright. Now to business. I'm a run-of-the-mill pervert who loves watching these kind of movies to see how far they take it. I watched Emmanuelle in Soho (the green cover one) once before.
Most of the last 25% of the movie is a party filled with naked women. It cuts to couples having sex. One couple is a couple of lesbians. One is a threesome with a fat man and two chicks. And the third one, CUT! "Now wait, I thought this was the uncut version?" is what you're saying, right? In the other version it had the scene, this one however did NOT!
In the scene it was two hot women with one guy. At the beginning of it one of the women played with a wine bottle, including rubbing herself with it. The guy I think had a boner and I think the simulated BJ was actually real. It's hard to tell because the woman was blocking the view.
When I saw the "unrated" version I thought maybe it would show more of everything. Then I get it and the scene I wanted to see more of was gone completely. This and the movie was darker than the other version. When it comes to these kind of movies, never trust "UNRATED".

3.0 out of 5 stars A forgotten classic of British sexploitation!, November 12, 2004
This review is from: EMMANUELLE IN SOHO (1981) (DVD)
Emmanuelle in Soho was one of the last theatrically released movies of the British sexploitation era. A big hit when it was first released in UK cinemas in 1981, it is now largely forgotten. The film has never been shown on TV and has only recently been widely available on video cassette.

Today it's definitely worth another look. It's a camp classic for fans of low budget British movies. Neither particularly sexy and certainly only unintentionally funny it still proves to be a revelation for anyone watching!

Whilst Mandy Miller enjoys the title role of Emmanuelle, it is half-Oriental actress Julie Lee who proves to be most watchable in the supporting role as Kate. This was Lee's only big starring role (she died after a horrific car crash in 1983) and you can see why. Frankly, she was a really terrible actress. It's obvious Lee was hired primarily for her stunning looks, but her lacklustre acting skills only make her more endearing to watch.

The plot isn't really worth mentioning, Julie Lee auditions for a part in a tacky nude revue at a seedy theatre and her weedy bisexual husband gets mixed up with the insatiable Emmanuelle and an unscrupulous agent (played by the desperately unfunny John M. East).

However, this movie is a MUST SEE! It harks back to a more innocent era of film-making when naughty little films got a big screen release and punters queued around the block to see them. Emmanuelle in Soho is wonderfully awful and very addictive. Go see it!
