5.0 out of 5 stars Great Screen Protector
I have tested many varieties of screen protectors over the last two years. The Empire 3-Pack for iPod Touch 4 is by far the best I have tried. I was able to place this on immediately and, to my shock, there were NO bubbles! I am very happy with this.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sticky residue from peel-back tab ruins the stickiness of one corner
This is the first protector I've used, so I may not be the best reviewer for comparison's sake.

It seems to work pretty well, except that is is more susceptible to scratches than I'd like--it even scratches from a credit card used to push out the bubbles (directions say to use a credit card to do this).

But the big frustration is the peel-back...

The Empire screen protectors for the Ipod Touch 4g are an amazing product. Like the reviewer before me said, it's very easy to apply and doesn't leave any bubbles. It doesn't slow down the reaction of your Ipod, the cut outs are well cut and nor does it affect the coloring, they're just amazing and I would recommend them to anyone.

Easy application. A couple bubbles appeared near the bottom of the unit, BUT thats because I was too hasty and missed a couple of dust particles during the cleaning. Can't even see it now because of the case I put over it. If you take your time, you'll have no problems with application and no bubbles. Can still navigate through the ipod menu without any issues, so the touch sensitivity is still just as good as before. Excellent cover.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Cut - Good Price - and PRIME! what more could you want, January 6, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: EMPIRE 3 Pack of Screen Protectors for Apple iPod Touch 4 / 4th Generation (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Perfectly cut protector... did not have any issue installing on my kids' iPod touches. Nicely packaged, not a single complaint to be had. They look every bit the same as protectors I've seen for 2-3x the cost. Same installation steps for all protectors. These had nice plastic on both sides, nice trimed edges, perfect fit. Great price for 3 screens and amazon prime!

Tips for installation

1. clean surface to perfection. Look at screen in bright light and look at reflection/glare at low angles to find any stray dust or specs.
2. pull step 1 plastic off protector just PARTIALLY.. roll it back on itself far enough you can hold it in place
3. line up protector along edge of device
4. start at one side laying the protector down and work you way across the device pulling the layer 1 protector back as you go. Keep the protector as close as possible to the device to minimize new contamination of dust, etc.
5. leave step 2 protector on for now!!
6. use a credit card and your cloth to push out any bubbles. Rub away, no harm can be done.

a. If you have any dust specs (perfectly round bubbles that won't go way), take a piece of scotch tape about 1" long, lay it on the corner closest to your issue, press down with only half the tape on the screen.. this is your new tab to lift the screen protector up
b. Lift up the protector just enough to get to the problem area, take a second piece of scotch tape and lay the sticky side down on the problem spot without losing an end of the tape. You can do this to the device surface or the protector depending on where the dirt stuck to.
c. Press down on the tape (even through the protector!), then remove the tape and work the protector back down over the area. If near the edge, just let the tape stick out over the edge of the device, let the protector come down completely, press thoroughly, and then lift the protector back off, remove the tape, and lay the protector back down. If the area is where you can't hold the tape easy without losing the edge of the tape, like in the middle of a big screen, make a loop of tape around your finger tip, press the tape sticky surface on the problem area, then work the protector back down.
c. repeat as necessary to get all the problem areas cleaned up

7. Once you got the screen how you want it, remove the step 2 plastic using the sticker tab being careful not to lift the protector off the screen

Here's two more hints
1 - before installing the protector, make sure you test fit the protector on your device first, centering things like the home button so you know just how much edge or gap to leave when lining up the protector on the outside edge of your device! Each company is slightly different, so this dry fit will guide you in how to lay it out
2 - never use your nail or something sharp to try to lift the edge of the protector. Even tiny creases in the protector will cause it to not lay down cleanly on the edge. Always lift the protector by taking a piece of scotch tape, sticking half of it on a corner of the screen, and using the tape like a tab to lift it off the screen.

There are many youtube videos about this too if the tape trick isn't clear.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Outstanding!!, May 7, 2011

i picked up an iPod touch 4th generation along with some iPod screen protectors. I did not know they were anti-glare so i did some hard research. With help from the reviews, i decided to go with the Empire Screen Protectors. They arrived from California to Wisconsin just THREE DAYS after my purchase, and they are by-far the BEST screen protectors i have seen/used. they were easy to put on, and the 2-sided film used to protect the screen is GENIOUS! i look at my iPod now, and i can't even tell i have a screen protector on it. I would have liked to know that they were no anti-glare before the order because that gave me kind of a scare when i opened them, but it was all worth it. all in all, FANTASTIC product.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sticky residue from peel-back tab ruins the stickiness of one corner, July 20, 2011

It seems to work pretty well, except that is is more susceptible to scratches than I'd like--it even scratches from a credit card used to push out the bubbles (directions say to use a credit card to do this).

But the big frustration is the peel-back tab in the lower right-and corner. It helps you peel it off it's backing before sticking it on your screen, but the subsequent removal of that tab leaves annoying sticky reside that you cannot remove without permanently damaging the ability of that corner to stick to your ipod screen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Ipod screen covers yet!!!, May 5, 2011

I have bought a few different types of screen covers for Ipod's over the years and this one was by far the easiest to put on. It went on so easy that I couldn't believe it. I have fought with other ones over the years and still had air bubbles underneath. What makes this one so good is that it has peel-away for the bottom (sticky side) and also one for the top which is great because as you are installing it and use the little card scraper you don't scratch your new cover! Simple and ingenious! Don't even think....BUY THIS!

BTW - I also put one on my daughters Gen2 Ipod touch and it fit good. It doesn't go all the way to the extreme edges of the glass on the left and right sides but her cover goes over that part any way so who cares!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best, May 3, 2011

I was so relieved when these screen protectors actually worked. I have a generally frustrating time with applying screen protectors; either they are too flimsy and instantly attract dust particles, or they don't fit the device properly. Thankfully these ones are top-of-the-line. It wasn't a time-consuming dreadful process, and my I-Pod looks sleek (no air bubbles here!) and is well-protected. Try these over the cheap, mediocre screen protectors...they are worth the little bit of extra cash.

Because I didn't really know what I was doing, I went thru one before I figured it out, and there are some air bubbles near the edges and around the facetime camera, but that's because of my limited knowledge about such things and I applied it without being as careful as I ought to have been. Once I figured out what I was supposed to do and got it on I was very pleased! Item also came right on time. I haven't had them for longer than a few hours, but for as long as I've had it on (thru trial and error) I feel very satisfied about the product. Cheap, prompt, and exactly as advertised. I'd recommend these to anyone!

Just to clear up the confusion for those of us who struggled with cleanly removing Tab 2 after following the instructions... you don't need to remove that tab, as there are actually THREE layers to each of these protectors:

- Tabbed Layer "1" is an outer layer, designed to be removed slowly and carefully from beneath the middle layer (the Screen Protector);
- Tabbed Layer "2" is ANOTHER outer layer, designed to be removed after you've applied the Screen Protector to the iPod (last step);
- Inner Layer (3) is the actual Screen Protector, designed to be left on the iPod after removing Tabbed Layer 1 and Tabbed Layer 2.

Hope this makes sense... deducting one star from a good product for the incomplete instructions.
