EMS incident command - Disaster Medicine Point of view,
By
This review is from: EMS Incident Management System, The: Operations for Mass Casualty and High Impact Incidents (Hardcover)
Well written and informative. Good review of incident management system. The information provided regarding disaster medicine is from the EMS response point of view and is useful for Emergency Physicians and Disaster researchers from the point of view of understanding EMS response in disasters. This book should be part of the overall collection of any physician working in area of Disaster Medicine.

I've had the pleasure to work with these guys and see them in action. They practice what they preach. Even the novice or EMS "groupie", will learn from their vast experience and knowledge. Highly recommended.

Certainly the most exhaustive, yet easily comprehensible IMS book out there. A required read for all EMS managers, but also a great reference book for anyone involved in public safety.

Paul and Hank have addressed an area of EMS that was literally screaming for a book. IMS had been written about before, but not with the detail and insight seen here. The practical experience of the author' coupled with their fluid writing style makes this a 'must have' text for the consummate EMS field manager.

As I scrambled to meet the direction of my CEO to get our disaster plan updated in order to deal with the pressing threat of terrorism it was recommended to get this text by a peer. After reading this book, I can say without a doubt, that it is one of finest disaster works I have ever been exposed. It has taken complex issues and presented them in a real world method that makes comprehension and application quite easy. Frankly this is a must have reference for emergency service and management personnel in public and private sectors. Outstanding work!

By far the best book on Incident Management available,

This review is from: EMS Incident Management System, The: Operations for Mass Casualty and High Impact Incidents (Hardcover)
Having taught IMS for a number of year, I have always had to subject my students to photo copies of handouts to teach the premises. With the publication of this book by Christen and Maniscalco, I have an all emcompassing text that allows my students to fully understand the application and theory of IMS/ICS. Thank you guys! This is great!!!
