First of all, no Paramedic review workbook I have seen is the best. That is why I can't give the book 5 stars. Each review book has its ups and downs. I recommend buying two different workbooks to study (especially for Nat'l Reg.)

This workbook is a perfect addition if you have the Brady text series. There are references to the page/book numbers in the answer section. This is helpful so that you can review the sections in which you feel you need more help.

The answers to the questions in the workbook are sufficient, especially because the reference pages are provided. However, in studying for Nat'l Reg, the answers could be better. I wish that the answers would include the rational behind why the other choices are wrong.

A downside is that the workbook goes into great detail. It has 56 chapters, including this sampling: ethics, gastroenterology, airway management, documentation, spinal trauma, neonatology, & HazMat. (If you are studying for NREMT-P test, you don't need to go into that great of detail.) But, if you are studying for quizzes in school, it could be helpful.

The book includes a CD, which is an excellent addition. It contains 2 180-question tests, which are in two different formats. One down side to the CD exams is that the answers aren't as good as they are in the workbook. The CD also contains other helpful information, such as a glossary and D.O.T. objectives.

I bought this with the Marchetta book and the combo worked well (I passed on the first go around), although I was sweating going into the test because I could barely score passing scores on the subject sections in this book. This book is based on the Brady text and like most review books, it hits on the most archane details that when taking in such a large subject, unless you just read it, you probably would not remember it. It is a good review that, combined with the other book, if you study and study early on, should do OK. But do not expect to remember all this stuff.

I purchased this book and studied from it about 2 months prior to taking the NREMT-P Exam. I passed on the first try. Would highly recommend to anyone that is preparing to take the exam.

This book is great if you need to review for a Paramedic Exam. The book is excellantly divided into sections based on the type of injury/illness etc. The book has many of the same questions as the National Registery Exam and state exams. The book also comes with a CD for further review. Thanks in part to this book I have my NREMT-P certification.

This book has a lot of specific information, but the best part is it is tied to the reference book from class, when you miss a question, it tells you where to go in the book to get the correct answer. Very helpful!

This book is not much better than having the Brady text. The answers are not explained and you can argue many of them

I love the book to use as study material! Great info! Great setup! Only problem I had was that I ordered first book from goodwill site and it was written in and so of no use. Ordered second from different company and came in perfect condition!

This is the only prep book I've used when getting ready for exams and so far have passed EMT and EMT-Intermediate on first try. Now trying for Paramedic. Questions are tough to make the test seems easier. You will be well prepared, if not slightly over-prepared. The CDs have great quizes on them...use them to judge how well you do and then study those areas you need work in. Good Luck!

Bought this for my sister who was studying for the National Registry test for Paramedics. She said that book was great and it was very helpful for her. Very happy to say, she is now a full fledged Paramedic.

The review book is an excellent prep for the National Registry Paramedic Exam!! Highly recommended to all Paramedic Students!
