First off, I will state that yes the wool is only in the leg-part, and not in the foot bed. That is fine by me, but I have noticed that many negative reviews were by people expecting wool in the foot bed as well. The foot bed is made out of sheepskin, but the wool has been removed in order to achieve the dainty look you see. I actually prefer the boots this way, because I like dainty-looking shoes, and dislike the big clunky look of fully-woolen sheepskin shoes/boots. Hopefully this will help people decide whether these boots are for them.

I usually wear a size 8 in shoes, while my feet actually measure at about 7.5 (but nobody ever has half-sizes) and I bought these in size 7 simply because they were sold out of size 8. Lucky for me size 7 fits me perfectly with socks! So I would definitely order at least a half-size (maybe even a full size) smaller than what you normally wear, these seem to run a tad big.

That being said, these boots are very comfortable, I love the look, and I wear them with practically everything. I have worn them every day since I bought them (approx 6 months), and have walked around in them a lot. I have put them through so much abuse, and they have miraculously held up quite well.

For about the first week of wearing these, the heel counter really bothered me a lot, but after that the sheepskin around the heel counter must have shifted to take on the shape my feet like, because it has never bothered me since and they got really comfortable really fast. So, like many other shoes I have experience wearing, you do have to break them in a little.

Overall, I am very satisfied with these boots.

The boot looks great and feels great, but the size in the boot is one size bigger than normal shoe size. Its a warm and comfortable boot, but if you wear a size 8, buy a size 7!!

I've bought them last week. Very good purchased. Look very nice and they are very comfy.True to size.

I just received them today in sand. They're just okay... nothing special. The length fit just like their regular boots, but the width is definitely more narrow. There's no lining on the feet and the insoles so my feet feel pretty cool. These are not meant for winter because my feet and legs don't feel warm at all and I would be afraid to ruin them since they're a lil pricey. The boots are tight around the calves, the color doesn't really look like the pictures... they are definitely more "washed out." I'm still trying to decide if I should keep them or not since I got them on sale, but I definitely wouldn't keep them if I got them at the full price. Shipping was fast, I ordered them 2 days ago.
