4.0 out of 5 stars A decent shoe
This is a pretty good shoe. Yes, it is constructed in China, but the wool and sheepskin are from Australia. (Caveat: It is 2011, and unless it states otherwise, one must assume everything is made in China.)

The construction of the show seems pretty durable. The sole and leather seem to be sewn and glued together well. I'm curious to see which wears out...

1.0 out of 5 stars Very dissapointed
Very poor shoe, even for $40.

1) There is a TINY bit of lining on the back of the shoe, and the rest of the shoe is uncomfortable and cold material w/ no lining or insulation.

2) Runs a good size larger, I'm a 12.5-13 and the 13's are very big.

3) Made in China. I don't care, but with all the family owned and manufactured and cared...

I'm curious to see which wears out first. It looks somewhat large when wearing it, which isn't good or bad, just a thing. There is a tuff of wool where the heel of your foot would ordinarily rub, which is a nice addition. When I wear dressier shoes in this style, i end up with raw skin or blisters after a few hours, regardless brand, sizing, socks, etc. In contrast, these have been a joy to wear.

The odd thing is that these shoes have very little padding in the sole. Despite this, they are still comfortable to wear around the house and office (though I may rescind that if I had to walk around for several hours straight). There is also no lining in the main body of the shoe. Despite this, I've been wearing them outside this winter and have yet to get cold feet.

While I do like these, I only bought them because they were at a very good price. I do recommend them, just not at retail prices.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty decent boots, January 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I got these boots in black for 70% off. For 40 bucks, these shoes were a steal. They look great and are pretty comfortable. Size runs a little big, but shouldn't be too bad. There is only wool lining towards the back of the heel, so it would've been better if the whole inside had wool lining, but oh well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very comfy boots, June 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Fits well, but i took 11 on my regular 11.5 and it fits perfectly. In case if i took 11.5 as usual it will be too big. On the leg boots are light weight, very soft and comfortable. Looks nice, exactly like on the photo.

2.0 out of 5 stars Look good... but..., February 17, 2011

I have a pair of chukka boots from Cabela's and they are great. These, on the other hand, are not worth more than the price you pay here. Mid 20's is what I paid for mine. They look good, but..... Some other reviewers have noted a lack of support. I also feel the same. The soles are very thin and there is not enough padding in the insole. After I wore them for a full day, my feet were tired. I would suggest that you spend a little more money and get a really good pair. I cannot recommend these.

3.0 out of 5 stars Look better than they feel, February 6, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I love the look of these what we used to call Desert Boots. They look very good but have little or no support in the ankles or even the arch. I have worn them twice and my feet ache at end of day. I may be only able to wear for a shorter period of time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great, but runs large, January 30, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought these for my husband, and he loves the look of them! They are casual, yet dressy. And that's a lot to be said from a guy who only wears tennis shoes.
The only problem is there are no half sizes, he's a 10.5. We should have definitely ordered a 10, these shoes run very big!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great shoe, great price, bad fit, January 30, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was totally, completely satisfied with the shoes but unfortunately the way they were cut I couldn't get my big clodhoppers into the shoe, I am very disappointed, but not about anything Amazon did. I just wanted the shoes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Broke in nicely, January 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was a little skeptical of the comfort level when I first put them on, but they broke in very nicely. I actually have been wearing them around in the snow and they have been doing great! Love the sheep's skin leather. The sheep's wool in the heal is also a nice touch. Love these boots.
